alan your not alone
Stanelco is pleased to announce that the exclusive agreement between ASDA and Stanelco for Stanelcos GreenSeal technology has been extended for a further 12 months. The exclusivity of the agreement will be waived after the first machine has been installed in an ASDA pack house, which will allow Stanelco to then offer GreenSeal to non exclusive ASDA sites.
cut and paste from web site

hewittalan6 - 31 Jul 2006 20:24 - 18197 of 27111

THEN TRY THIS
and follow the instructions from post 18193 and let me know what you get!!
Thanks,
Alan

PS If anyone knows how I can post a timed screenshot on here, to show what I am seeing let me know.

nickrichards - 31 Jul 2006 20:26 - 18198 of 27111

Alan, it looks as if my machine is haunted as well! I have just accessed the Stanelco site via Drivers link and using the address bar and the ASDA info is present (I do have to click "Homepage" as you state). I would assume (not being a "techie") that there is just a technical glitch in the system somewhere.

OK, so now its Woodie and Alan against Oblomov, Explosive and me.

Alan have you posted the link to the site where the ASDA exclusivity extension is?

Can any techie out there explain in layman's terms what the hell is going on.

And hurry, I want to watch the second half of Silent Witness on the box at 9pm.

Somebody give me Driver's website link.

Oily. Something of a guess now, but Microsoft did an auto update of browsers or something a few months ago that everyone thought was a pain in the arse, and removed (except me cos I couldn't work out how).
Don't know if you remember it, it was the one that put a dotted line around many pages and said click here to activate control. You did and all that happened was the page automatically centred. Its a shot in the dark, but I wonder if only those of us who did not remove it are getting the extra page? The 2 pages are identical other than the Asda bit dropped in.

Its at the top of the page, Oily. About 4 inches above this post!!!

kimoldfield - 31 Jul 2006 20:49 - 18208 of 27111

OOer! I seem to have started something here! Try as I might I cannot find any mention of the ASDA extension on SEO's site. Could it be something to do with my operating system? I have an Apple using Mac OS X version 10.4.7, is everyone who can see the announcement using a Windows operated computer?

Oilywag - 31 Jul 2006 20:55 - 18211 of 27111

And there I was thinking that size does not REALLY matter.

Kim, I'm using Windows XP

The oily one

PS. Maybe I should ask Stanelco to advise why some can see it and some can't. On second thoughts, if they can't manage their PR, then they'll never provide the answer to this conundrum.

PPS. I think it is to do with how strong your faith is in SEO!!!

kimoldfield - 31 Jul 2006 21:03 - 18212 of 27111

D'you know what Oily, you could just be right!! I'm still one of the riders though, maybe my horse has just developed a limp! Before you say anything Alan, it's my horse that has the limp!
