Just for Socco - my Bob the builder saga across the road continues Socs, having taken out the front wall of the bungalow, today it seems the roof is totally coming off - interesting schedule of works that, I think I would have been tempted to work the other way round but hey what do I know, I'm just a bunny LOL

Socrates - 07 Sep 2007 09:15 - 18259 of 24230

Bunny, sounds like the bungalow is about to become a house.

stockbunny - 07 Sep 2007 09:21 - 18260 of 24230

makes you wonder doesn't it Socs....oh well we shall see....
Tea?

Socrates - 07 Sep 2007 09:39 - 18261 of 24230

Bunny, any major changes require planning permission. Check with your local department to see if they know anything about it.

stockbunny - 07 Sep 2007 09:42 - 18262 of 24230

To be honest Socs I'll keep well out of it, easiest way round here.
But it's interesting viewing....

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2007 07:46 - 18263 of 24230

Socrates - 10 Sep 2007 08:53 - 18266 of 24230

Good morning. Oops, must hide, the binmen are coming!

How is the building site coming on, Bunny?

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2007 09:02 - 18267 of 24230

Morning Socs...building report:
Seems some roof main timbers are being replaced, part of the wall is rebuilt and thats about it but there's men scurrying about working and the day is young so bound to be further developments. ;>)

How's you today? Cloudy but bright here

Socrates - 10 Sep 2007 09:27 - 18268 of 24230

The sun has just emerged from the clouds so nice and bright here. I'm fine and having a rest day. Went to book city yesterday, that is Hay on Wye for the uninitiated.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2007 11:35 - 18269 of 24230

I have heard there are a lot of good secondhand book shops there, find anything good?

Socrates - 10 Sep 2007 11:47 - 18270 of 24230

Bunny, you are quite right, nearly all the bookshops are second hand. But to be serious, if you are into books Hay on Wye is book heaven. If you can imagine a whole town almost entirely devoted to selling books, both old and new, then Hay is the place for you. I didn't buy anything this time, must be a first.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2007 12:21 - 18271 of 24230

LOL yes I can relate it that! It is rare for me to walk out of a book shop having not bought at least 1 book! I am especially prone in a 2nd hand shop, as I always find those so much more interesting!

Socrates - 10 Sep 2007 12:24 - 18272 of 24230

Oh dear, Bunny I would suggest that you steer well clear of Hay on Wye, if only for the sake of your financial well-being.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2007 12:51 - 18273 of 24230

Err yes that is probably a good idea at least for the foreseeable anyway! ;>)

Spaceman - 10 Sep 2007 15:43 - 18274 of 24230

bunny, why do you want a 2nd hand? isnt 2 enough?

Socrates - 11 Sep 2007 08:19 - 18275 of 24230

(or his friend, Sandy.)

Good morning all, tea toast now ready.

stockbunny - 11 Sep 2007 08:27 - 18276 of 24230

Thanks Socs - tea would be great :>)
