Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

It doesn't have to.
Also, in the long term nobody gains from wars, other than the bankers and armament makers.
-------------
One reason for strengthening and democratising the UN is that it may lead eventually to few bloody conflicts.
But the real motivation behind the ME conflicts is GREED not religion and the best solution is greater democracy in one "form" of another in that area.
That means elevation of social standards, education and a more equitable distribution of the wealth of their resources.
Also, for the West to help them, not prey on them, not to preach to them or manage those countries in way that is advantageous to the west, but is advantageous to the overall populations of the countries concerned.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes to attempt record Antarctica trek
British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes is to lead the first team on foot across Antarctica during the southern winter.
The six-month expedition next year will see the group endure temperatures as low as -90C and is being called the Coldest Journey.
It will be 68-year-old Sir Ranulph's latest record attempt. Past feats have seen him go pole to pole and climb Everest as a pensioner.
Guinness World Records describes him as the world's greatest living explorer.

Fred,
I agree that the person himmself should be kept accountable, and at the smae time freedom of speed should support free discussion about every topic. BUT, the issue is that we are dealing with completely different cultures which are not demcratic in the same way we undestand (define) in the west.
We cannot impose the same democracy, so should be flexible to be able to work with them untill all converge...
Time will solve problems, but being rigid delays everything.
Tony Blair has not yet understood what Middle East is and, I think, he will never does.

On a serious note the more I hear about the conduct of some individuals of some of the institutions involved in the Hillsborough cover-up the more angry and sick of them I feel.

Ahoj,
Blair, for me, has always been a disaster zone.
-----------
Unfortunately as it maybe, I think all views have the right to be vented.
Sometimes, I wish they were not. (Even, views such as Tankers and Aldwick's, Gorse, etc.)
Ventilation, may be a form of safety valve, if the responses are not incited to be physical violence.

Hard to take him seriously with that wicker work stuck on his head - having said that, I've never liked him - too much 'self worth'.
