Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 08:02 - 18348 of 24230

Good morning all, a shattered Socco struggles in looking for a mug of tea. I was up at 4AM yesterday and on the motorway to Lancashire "hice-hunting". Had enough after 5 hours of looking and a quick dash back down the M6 and M5 and back on post by 15:30.

Bunny can you put something into the tea to give me a lift, brandy springs to mind!

Hi LW, can't remember if I congratulated you or not so "congratulations", what is it for by the way? Can I have a fresh doughnut please? If not I'll have a stale one and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds.

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2007 09:12 - 18349 of 24230

Socco nice strong cuppa for you!
OK whats a 'hice' ?

Bluelady - 19 Sep 2007 09:16 - 18350 of 24230

Morning everyone,

Stockbunny, you should know what a hice is, it's a house for mice.

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 09:17 - 18351 of 24230

It's a place you live in Bunny, all the royals have one. Some refer to them as houses.

More tea please Bunny, since yesterday I am about 6 cups behind and need to catch up.

Bluelady - 19 Sep 2007 09:20 - 18352 of 24230

Good morning Socrates, missed you yesterday.

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 09:25 - 18353 of 24230

Oh, thank you so much Bluelady, I am chuffed to NAAFI bricks that you should say so. You are well, I trust?

Bluelady - 19 Sep 2007 09:34 - 18354 of 24230

I am well Socrates. That's a new one on me but I guess that is your RAF talk. If you are thinking of moving to Lancashire you'll be 'close' to optomistic, ;0).

hilary - 19 Sep 2007 10:02 - 18355 of 24230

I've got your addy, thanks LW, and it's now in my little black book so you can take it down. Has that addy replaced the Telkomsa one?

I'll catch up with you over the next couple of weeks.

hilary - 19 Sep 2007 10:03 - 18356 of 24230

Btw, I've not received my commission yet for the oily penguin tip. Same goes for you Jeffie!

:o)

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2007 10:04 - 18357 of 24230

Ah I get it - a burrow! Why didn't you say that in the first place!
;>)

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 10:08 - 18358 of 24230

Yes Bunny, a burrow.

Bluelady, sorry I broke into the RAF vernacular. It's no good trying to put me off, I'm going to Lancashire despite Opto!
[:-)

Bluelady - 19 Sep 2007 10:17 - 18359 of 24230

Socrates, lol. If I remember correctly you wanted to be nearer family, hence the move.

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 10:37 - 18360 of 24230

Bluelady, quite right.

little willie - 19 Sep 2007 10:38 - 18361 of 24230

Morning all, thanks for the 'congratulations' Socs, I too am not sure what for so I'll return the compliment, 'Congratulations".
Now we're starting to sound like Cliff Richard.

By the by, if you're off to Lancs don't get involved in this 'war of the roses' thingy plus you'll need an in-depth natter to Jeffers about the merits of whippet racing or pigeons.
At all times try and remember your civilised status picked up in Chelt. and the marvellous job the local Ladies College do.
I do hope the local neatherdals whence you are going aren't too earthy for you.

Funny really, moving to be closer to family; I moved here to get away!!

Oily penguin tip doesn't ring any bells Minxy, think I know who you mean; but there's a case of '07 Sauvignon Blanc waiting in my wine cellar for you anyway.

little willie - 19 Sep 2007 10:48 - 18362 of 24230

Morning all, ah Socs, I don't think I deserve congratulations but thank you any way and I'd like to return the compliment so congratulations to you [We're starting to sound like Cliff Richard].

So you're leaving gentile Chelt for the Neatherdal wilds of Lancs eh? Don't get involved in 'this Roses thing, white v reds, could turn into a nasty business.
Suggest you contact Jessie for advice on the merits of whippet racing or pigeons both demand the 'flat cap'.

Funny how some of us need to be by the family; me I moved here to get away from 'em although that was my ex-wife's family.

What's the caffs tea like by air-mail?

Socrates - 19 Sep 2007 10:57 - 18363 of 24230

Thanks LW. I might extend my sporting activities to pigeon-shooting. Do they do whippet shooting too? "Local neanderthals", that's a bit of an insult isn't it? To neanderthals I mean! LOL

KEAYDIAN - 19 Sep 2007 19:11 - 18364 of 24230

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Socrates - 20 Sep 2007 07:25 - 18365 of 24230

Good morning cafe! Tea on, toast toasting and some genuine Grimsby Kippers for them that wants them. Got some of those lovely Italian Croissants too.

stockbunny - 20 Sep 2007 07:38 - 18366 of 24230

Morning Socco - yes kippers please :>)

daves dazzlers - 20 Sep 2007 07:41 - 18367 of 24230
