THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

For you Greek - David Cameron reaffirms UK aid pledge at United Nations

David Cameron will reaffirm his commitment to increase Britain's aid spending later, despite opposition from within his own party.

The prime minister will underline the pledge in New York, while attending the United Nations General Assembly.

Hi Skinny,

Already seen it, but every time it re-appears, I get wound up yet again.
Thanks to you, it will take another hour or two to calm down, especially after seeing this mornings news.

Anyone seen the latest ploy by Abu Hamza al-Masri and four other terrorism suspects to delay extradition to America.
It appears that if a private prosecution is taken out, it could delay the extradition, so the five terrorist may take out a private prosecution against themselves (no don't laugh, this is serious).
The government state that this won't be allowed, but knowing our feeble leaders, it just might.
I can see the results now.
After receiving legal aid they win their cases, then apply and receive victim compensation.
The government has stated that extradition could occure within weeks (don't hold your breath).
Whats wrong with putting them on a plane today, as I am sure the USA would welcome them with open arms.
Surelly all it takes is one phone call!

Make a brilliant 'Yes Abu Hamza' sit-com.

Plaintiff. Abu Hamza and others!
Defendent. Abu Hamza and others!

With the thought of winding Greek up.

PS

Concerning extradition was Mark Thatcher ever extradited?

Another PS.

How many "Russian Millionaire Villains" are there in this country and USA who the Russians wish to extradite, but "refused" or "resisted" by the legal systems of those countries.

Again how many Israeli "hit men" or possible "war criminals" wanted in other countries for trials are protected by their "administrations".

Perhaps, it may be a solution to give the Hague International Court of Justice more power and ability to try those involved in cross border "crime".

"Those who commit crimes on a large or systematic scale should be held accountable. ICTJ’s Criminal Justice program seeks to strengthen criminal justice initiatives worldwide by providing technical assistance to those engaged in complex investigations and prosecutions and by sharing lessons learned from our field programs and research."

I think that "Hook" is a nasty piece of works, and if some accusations against him are proven to be right would be content to see him behind bars, but I don't have much respect for some of the USA legal and judicial system.

Nor do I have much respect for some of their "penal" system.

I think this government is beginning to bend over backwards to the USA. (Cameron. like Blair is trying to get in bed with various administrations for personal "glory". The glory is "brown" not "golden".)

But, in the present dilemma, many are not protesting in favour of those wanted for extradition, but the principles involved in doing so.

It is a bit like dealing with adolescents who know their rights but ignore their responsibilities.

Now, what was I "thinking" about when I wrote that!

Hi Stan,

Can't understand why Mnamreh is doing this as in the past we have had plenty of interesting discussions.
Will leave it as it is for a couple of more days, just to see if he comes back with an explanation and will then consider a Squelch as like you I find it annoying.

mnamreh - 25 Sep 2012 14:28 - 18424 of 81564

Apologies greek

Last post (again)

N,

I would prefer to read your "odd" thoughts, but in that it seems to annoy "G" I have a sense of pleasure from you continuing.

Hi Mnamreh,

Can't understand why it is your last post, or have I missed something (been away for a couple of weeks).

Fred1new - 25 Sep 2012 14:45 - 18427 of 81564

I have just returned home after chatting with a "friend". I was pulling his leg a little when he responded that I was pulling a Mitchell.

Strange how names creep into the vernacular.

=======

I suppose you could have a "Hunt", a "Davey Laws", a "foxy move".

What interests me is that, although I have never been naive enough to believe that politicians would always tell you the complete truth, I never believe that if they caught out telling downright lies they would be able to escape from public humiliation and lose their jobs.

But watching the Lib/Dem conference is like watching paint dry.

Stopping bus passes to over 65s if they have incomes above £xxxxxx a year is a crowd pleaser, but how many with that income catch a bus. etc..

Preventing heating allowance to elderly with high incomes will cost more than giving them it. (In total.)

Brainless.

John Shaw, caught on CCTV with two girls at a hotel

At Derby Crown Court yesterday, Anthony Lambert, 51, Stefan Godfrey, 44, John Shaw, 55, Ijaz Ahmed, 35, and Mark Adaoui, 40, Colin Simpson, 55, David Shardlow, 56, and Ian Yeoman, 60, were all jailed for a series of sex offences.

Disturbing CCTV footage played during the five week trial showed one of the men checking into a hotel with one girl and her friend, who could be seen clutching a large teddy bear.

In total, there were five victims involved in the case but it is thought up to 15 girls may have been targeted for sex in 2009 and 2010.
they should have there balls cut off and then hung .

Girl, 13, had her virginity taken away from her by a man who groomed her

When she was 14 she told police 5 men queued outside bedroom to demand sex from her but still no one has been charged with the alleged crime

She wrote a letter to her alter-ego, Michelle, saying, 'They took all my dreams and my life away from me'
