THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I have just returned home after chatting with a "friend". I was pulling his leg a little when he responded that I was pulling a Mitchell.

Strange how names creep into the vernacular.

=======

I suppose you could have a "Hunt", a "Davey Laws", a "foxy move".

========

What interests me is that, although I have never been naive enough to believe that politicians would always tell you the complete truth, I never believe that if they caught out telling downright lies they would be able to escape from public humiliation and lose their jobs.

But watching the Lib/Dem conference is like watching paint dry.

Stopping bus passes to over 65s if they have incomes above £xxxxxx a year is a crowd pleaser, but how many with that income catch a bus. etc..

Preventing heating allowance to elderly with high incomes will cost more than giving them it. (In total.)

Brainless.

Disturbing CCTV footage played during the five week trial showed one of the men checking into a hotel with one girl and her friend, who could be seen clutching a large teddy bear.

In total, there were five victims involved in the case but it is thought up to 15 girls may have been targeted for sex in 2009 and 2010.

Norway Oksnes family celebrates third lottery win

A Norwegian family has won the country's national lottery three times in six years, taking home a total of more than 3m euros ($3.9m; £2.4m).

Last week, 19-year-old Tord became the latest member of the Oksnes family to hit the jackpot, following his sister Hege Jeanette and father Leif.

The lucky numbers were drawn every time Hege was pregnant or had just given birth.

Same happens in this country.
The Smith family have won the lottery more times than anyone else, quickly followed by the Jones family with the Sing and Patel families catching up quickly.
