No Oily,
Ex MFI.
Can't hold a screw for more than a few seconds and I tend to fall to bits inside a week.

Anybody help me out here. I have Interactive Investor's level 1 real time streaming.
Between 8.44 and 8.48 there were 13 trades totalling around 457,000 shares, the majority being buys. And no trade since then according to Interactive.
I know that SEO's share price is now on the SETS system, but are these trades held up so that MM can manipulate the price?

Don't know the answer directly, and I don't know the mechanism, but even a casual glance at yesterdays trading showed what looked like manipulation. The buy price rose every few seconds to 5.2p only to be immediately dropped to 5p.
Today, the spread was 1% or less until after those trades you mention and then suddenly rose to 5% plus.
i accept that an automated system can produce these results, but it all seems a little convenient for the traders.
The question I ask myself is not how, but why?

Mmmm.....
Seems like manipulation to me as well Alan
Just seen 400K bought - no sells - in about three minutes and the price drops by .14p.
There's nowt as queer as the market!
Makes you wonder how safe it is to put a limit price on your trades!

1,404,860 sold after the close yesterday showing as the first trade this morning.

The price for almost all of yesterday was in the region of 4.95 - 5.00, so whether it was a buy or sell, we will probably never know.
The figure suggests buy, but the way the sp dropped immediately back to 5p the moment anyone tried to raise the ante suggests a sell.
Who knows. Yesterdays news now.

Back to an earlier question re: Starpol 3000 FDA approval. It took 125 days for the announcement of FDA approval of Starpol 2000 from the earlier announcement stating it had European approval and fruit & veg in the USA {Starpol 2000: 12th Oct '05 to 14th Feb '06, [125 days]. Starpol 3000: 2nd May '06 AGM statement to ???}. So by simple reasoning, I'd say we'd need to count at least 120 days from the Starpol 3000 announcement, which would take us to September.

garyble ,the AGM statement says quite clearly with regard to the FDA approval of starpol 3000"...we expect approval ....for this within weeks".The date of the statement was 2May 2006(page 1 penultimate paragraph). It's now months and we have had no announcement either way that is why I asked Oily to pose the question .

Kim,
For God's sake don't encourage him. He'll only go on and on and think up some more.
Mind you, I think he copies them out of a joke book, myself.

Mad Pad,
I make the assumption that it is down to one of two things:
1) SEO speak... weeks gives a better expectation than months
2) Continued naivety wrt to timescales
In any event, worst case is, it can be no longer than the Starpol 2000 timeframe, taking the AGM statement as a start point.

I'm not going to get any work done if this carries on! Oblo, I think it is Alan watching, and by the looks of it he is practising for Clerkenwell (see the NOWT thread!!)

Look at the picture carefully. Judging by the pianist's reach, it seems that he has very large organ!

Oilywag,
Like you checked trades, they show the same, a gap between 0848 and 0930.
Does seam unusual for SEO these days. Most of the trades prior to this look to have been triggered by the Sets system so if no shares marrying up so to speak buys/sells it could account for it. It may also be that punters are sitting on their hands awaiting news, as there is also a similar gap between 0942 and 1027.

I recall reading somewhere ASDA are having a Sustainable Resources/Packaging (or something similar) conference this week in Harrogate.
Tesco announced their plastic bag initiative this morning.
Are Tesco anticipating something from ASDA at the end of their conference and getting in first with todays publicity?
