Wrong box, but hello again everyone. Where have you been Amber, somewhere nice?

little willie - 14 Nov 2004 15:33 - 18489 of 23498

JJ..same here today as yesterday; been out for luch with a gang of eight of us to Backsburg Winery for a Lamb spit-roast where they also did roast pots to die for. Now I'm not a bad cook but I've never done roasties like these, soaked in sea salt and real yum-yum jobbies.

Watching the West Brom game now, after it will be a dip in the pool and a laze but no scones here, bugger!

No clammering here for those crackling fires, perfectly happy with what nature has blessed us with.

Re Gloucester, I played for them in late 60's early 70's; funny if you were at Kingsholm cursing me for not having a clue what I was doing directing the pack.

Days of Mickey Booth, Eric Stevens, John Fidler, Dick Jardine,Alan Watkin,
Mike Burton, Alan Brinn et al,we had a great team;
no Courage, Heinekin Cup then but played mostly against that lot over the border in the valleys, Still get Xmas cards from a few of the Welsh legends
but gradually the list diminishes.

Spent a bit of time at "the Fleece" and can't remember the name of the rub-a-dub-dub on the west side of Ciren out past the Ag College, it was in a tunnel!

Did you go to the Ragged Cot at Minch or The Bear?

Tea is made now - scones, cakes and pastries for anyone that wants one. The chocolate gateau is well worth the calories:-)

Afternoon opto. Yes and no! I did all the uninstalling and re-installing. Interestingly, the e-trade chap told me the java version I had (Sun Microsystems) was not the one I needed, that I should use the Microsoft version. Well, when you go to the Microsoft homepage, it tells you it has been superceded by the one I had! So to cut a long story short, I went to system restore, set it back a week, then to java. com and my computer has recovered but I have given up on the e-trade demo, as life is too short! Your suggestion to uninstall was the saving grace, thank you.

Pouring now amber .... and one for me too :-) Just been reading Jules input on the Traders Thread - all sounds familiar!

My daughter went to see the new Bridget Jones last night and tells me there is a scene in it that is a bit too familiar for comfort (?). Head up here tomorrow night and we shall go and see it together!!!!!!!

amberjane - 14 Nov 2004 19:54 - 18496 of 23498
