Envesta Telecom (EVS)

paulbrooks71 - 19 Jan 2005 12:17

Have a look at todays news threads for EVS, great first half results, important acquisition announced, more exciting news promised in February. Up 25% so far today.

Need the pro's and con's of this one folks, been pointed in this direction.
Seems good growth prospects and for comparison I comapred it to PXC where it seems to be trading at a discount to PXC which has been tipped and is apparently trading at discount to the market but cannot break-free of 7.5-9p range. Legal & General buying seems good and before today I hoped for the chance to buy around that price and could have done below it!! Question is where does thew support lie and how far do you think this could go. I'm very tempted. Thoughts much appreciated.

BARGAIN price at the moment - topped up twice this morning at 5.2p and 5.22p.

Remember L&G bought at 5.75p recently. Its great to get in below the institutions. Wonder if they'll be buying any more?

andysmith - 30 Mar 2005 13:21 - 187 of 305

That was my thinking, just wondering whether or not it will go below 5p?
Have we reached the support level or will it go lower before end of tax year?
Looks a potential 2-3bagger from here?
Currently deciding whether to buy today or see what happens tomorrow?
I have been taking profits in the last few months as I'd doubled my portfolio since 2005. Nice to have cash available for bargain prices.

mickeyskint - 30 Mar 2005 14:29 - 188 of 305

andy, I got in at 6 (what a plonker) so I'm hurting a bit. I think tomorrow could be a repeat of today but how it will effect EVS who knows. I agree this is a potential 2/3 bagger. Flip a coin or as my dad would say "If in doubt do nowt". Sorry I can't be more helpful.

In decision today due to bad market, should have gone with instinct and got in at 5.25p, it slowed in afternoon so I held off hoping for brief fall again tomorrow. 1m sells late on so hopefully they need some buyers, cant afford 1m though!!!!

mjr1234 - 31 Mar 2005 12:35 - 190 of 305

Holding steady..

I think action will increase tomorrow and Monday.

There are strong rumours of an IC magazine article tomorrow.

andysmith - 31 Mar 2005 12:37 - 191 of 305

Good or bad rumours? Why more sells than buys today?
Very tempted with this but don't want burnt fingers!!

andysmith - 31 Mar 2005 12:58 - 192 of 305

Where is this strong rumour from?? Is it likely to be a tip?
I am very interested in EVS, but I was also interested in PXC and got out after several boring months with <1% profit!!! Now I'd be in a loss.
I think prospects for EVS much better but would appreciate a reasoned view considering large number of sells today. Thanks to anyone prepared to answer.

mjr1234 - 31 Mar 2005 13:41 - 193 of 305

It may be just a mention of the good results, or it could be more.

Could drift further today i suppose, but strong support around 5p imo.

andysmith - 31 Mar 2005 14:49 - 194 of 305

Thanks, I'm tempted to wait a little while and see but 5p does seem the support with for some reason resistance above 5.5p? Can't see why when recently above 6p though. Might get in later today or tomorrow.

swseun - 02 Apr 2005 10:34 - 195 of 305

IC tip EVS as a good value to buy, worth have a look.

ENVESTA TELECOM (EVS)

Envesta is making profits for the first time since it floated on Aim in 1999. It's also taken on board its first big...

andysmith - 02 Apr 2005 16:21 - 196 of 305

swseun, thanks, wish I'd followed my instincts earlier in the week at 5.25p but at the start of the week I was prepared to pay 6p so if I'm lucky I might still get in for around 5.7p!!

swseun - 02 Apr 2005 16:37 - 197 of 305

Last friday, the margin is 5.6% (quite large), buying @5.85. But I would anyway get in if still @5.85 on monday morning, even I am worrying MM is playing the spread. For long term, I am confident it would up over 6-7p. Wish I am right. Of course, if you read advfn, some got other opinions, worth to read.

andysmith - 05 Apr 2005 11:09 - 198 of 305

I don't read advfn, can you summarise opinions? Thanks

moneyplus - 05 Apr 2005 12:41 - 199 of 305

Great little company and growing fast but I think we won't see much upside until the autumn. The share gurus seem to think all will be quiet in the market until September---unless some good RNS come out of course. Hold and accumulate IMHO.

mickeyskint - 06 Apr 2005 15:32 - 200 of 305

Any views/opinions for the fall.

andysmith - 06 Apr 2005 21:06 - 201 of 305

I don't know MS, havn't got in yet - seems to do a Pipex to me, has it's rises above 6p and falls back to 5.5p. I'm still tempted by low forward PE and growth potential but don't want another PXC in my portfolio so still watching for now.

grevis2 - 11 Apr 2005 11:55 - 202 of 305

Morning all. It's interesting to note those who have been paying the full offer of 5.5p this morning. Barclays are quoting a very close spread with bid/offer of 5.35p/5.38p and has been at this level for quite some time. My indicators are that we should start to breakout in the next couple of days, so decided to take advantage of he current price to buy a further tranch at 5.38p. Good luck!

grevis2 - 11 Apr 2005 13:47 - 203 of 305

Just checked the spreads with Barclays. They are now strengthening. Bid/offer is now 5.40p/5.45p.

ptholden - 11 Apr 2005 22:07 - 204 of 305

Interested in the potential of this one, but having had a look at the TA, can't make my mind up which way it is going to go!

Ho Hum
