I am signing up to the following if any body wishes to follow me. I will update and post the league table on this thread. Did ok last season but joined late and was unable to catch up the leaders. Here's hoping for a better result this season!!
---------
http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/challengelawro/index.shtml
The new Premiership season kicks off on Saturday and this year BBC Radio Five Live's Challenge Lawro will be bigger and better than ever! What's more - we've also teamed up with BBC Sport's Football Focus. Tune into BBC One every Saturday from noon for the Premiership pre-match build-up and to hear the presenters give their predictions on the weekends' Premiership action.
Win with Challenge Lawro
The prizes aren't bad either - the Manager of the Month is invited onto Five Live's Drive programme to give Peter Jane and Mark, their footie predictions...and also awarded one of our shiny new Manager of the Month medals. At the end of the season, the player who has scored the most points, will be presented with a special Challenge Lawro trophy by the man himself. They will also be offered the chance to come into our London studios to be a pundit with Mark Lawrenson!
Last season, over 120,000 people registered to play Challenge Lawro. If you think you can take on your friends to be the champion of champions, then get playing now!

Oh lordy, looks like saints are doomed. Only won two home matches all season and now five of the last seven are against the top teams. It's been a long and rewarding 27 years in the top flight but I just can't see us escaping this time unless last years promoted teams really mess up. Just isn't the hunger there and last night looked like a team of hastily assembled second string professionals with no passion. 50/50 chance I reckon now.
I'll go off and sulk for the remainder of the day.

Too right Scrip.
Interesting Cup draw - I presume that your team will be the first choice match for TV - 2 well balanced sides with the small matter of local rivalries adding extra spice. Which side will Harry be managing come the game itself is anyones guess !
Else the draw was kind to the big teams - all being drawn at Home.

LOL!
I couldn't believe it when they came out of the hat. We already played them in the Carling Cup last year as well. We should have met this year also if we have beaten Watford but both teams fell at the same hurdle.

Andy Johnson, If one man can keep a team in the premiership then its him. He deserves a crack in the England team for his performances in the last two seasons. Its not just his goals but his running off the ball and hard work. If he was playing for a fashionable club he would have already played for England.
Scripophilist, as a Palace supporter I know how you feel, but you have Harry there now and he is brilliant at getting quality players in cheaply and will get you battling.
Our seasons are never dull, were either were fighting relegation or pushing for promotion.
I"m never bored supporting Palace its like being on a rollercoaster, and if the saints do go down ( which I hope they don"t, as long as it is"nt us instead ) then you have the potential drama of being in the play-offs next season, which are the most intense matches in football. None of the glory supporters will ever know what they are like.

Stubax - You refer to the play-offs and the tension they bring. As a CFC fan I watched play-offs when they were used to decide who went down, as well as determining the team coming up.
If you think fighting for promotion is tough, imagine being involved in a battle to save your Premiership place.
As you probably know the system was abandoned following rioting once we'd lost, (Why they didn't recognise that the season prior I'll never know !!!)

Well I for one am totally confused now as I appear to have lost points in the last week despite the fact that no games were played. I am sure I was nudging on 170 points even with the voided games. I think they have totally lost the plot. I think this game has gone a little to pot in all honesty.

Welcome back scrip, you must be feeling like me today on Top of the World. Still my bad luck continues:-
eg
blues 1 ***** (no swearing) 0
chelsea 4 palace 0
spurs 2 city 0
pompey 1 newcastle 2
pool 2 everton 0
just 1 goal out on so many games. I thought boro would be knackered today but at least get a draw. Its getting HOT at the bottom with Saints and WBA playing so well. Hope to God Blackburn (along with Judus Savage) go down and Saints and Albion stay up. Fingers crossed.

Hi Kivver, Thanks for the welcome back. I had the blues down for a 1-0 win so I cursed that late goal!!
It's certainly getting hot at the bottom. It's suddenly looking brighter for us and all I can hear in my head at the moment is that music from the great escape. Harry will be a god for ever if he does it. It's going to be so tight though!

Saints and Harry are good for the prem, Camara looks a good player and scored a cracker against my team, i was sitting in line with it and ball went so fast you could hardly see it move.

The end of the season is almost upon us. Damn West Brom for scoring that late goal else I would have been three points better off and Southampton would still be out of the relegation zone.

Well done scrip and thanks for doing this. Im up for it next year if your still interested in doing it. Comiserations on going down, but i think WBA are lot peoples second favourite team in the midlands so well done to them. If you can keep Harry you should come straight back up. Good luck and thanks again.

I will run it again next year. Maybe with more entrants.
I was at the match and it was a bit of let down. But Man Utd where a class apart is has to be said. We never looked like winning in the second half and the last half an hour nothing really happened no fire in the belly no last mintue dramas a bit of a let down.

FYI, I'm famous! But at the expense of my own football team.
