After reading all the posts I have come to the conclusion most of you should apply to Disney World for future employment. You are 101% sure of a job your imagination is beyond belief even they would be amazed how you come up with some of the scripts.

Has anyone worked or know anyone who works at food producers for the big supermarket chains? They may well make sense of what might be going on.

I worked at Shippams, who supplied Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, Co-op and the MOD.

gary,
we know that the agreement related to ' the application...' etc, that is quite clear, unambiguous and documented in a RNS. The agreement WAS NOT that SEO would not talk to interested parties about Greenseal - that would have been commercial suicide and wouldn't happen.
It is obvious SEO would have been talking to others as they were hawking a Greenseal presentation around the conferences - again this is documented.

I'm an engineer for a food producer {multi-national} in the UK, but our products have long shelf-lives so stockpiling is not a problem. A 24/7 operation, we consider a day and at most two an annual shutdown. I'm assuming the clock starts ticking once certain "short shelf-life" items are packed, so stockpiling would be a problem.

Looking back at old RNS's I came across this one.
With the recent talk of commercialisation of the first machine (i.e. at the time of the AGM and in recent SEO ASDA exclusivity statements) I'd forgotten this RNS, in which it was announced that a contract had been signed with an unnamed ASDA supplier. The 'first commercial' agreement.
How can SEO recently have been talking about the first commercial machine when they announced it over a year ago? Is this why the 2 month extended exclusivity announcement ending with the first commercial installation was pulled from the website?

Stanelco plc
Stanelco signs first Commercial Agreement with ASDA Supplier for GREENSEAL(TM)
Stanelco announces that following extensive trials it has now entered into a
formal commercial agreement for its GREENSEAL(TM) technology with a dedicated
ASDA supplier, endorsed by ASDA themselves. This first commercial agreement will
involve the conversion of a Mondini tray-lidding machine at the chosen supplier.
Stanelco cannot reveal the name of the supplier for commercially sensitive
reasons.
The GREENSEAL(TM) technology will provide a number of benefits for both ASDA and
the consumer including increased sales, reduced waste, longer shelf life, cost
reductions on packaging materials, energy and labour savings, as well as the
extensive environmental benefits.
Trials continue with other selected ASDA suppliers and Stanelco will announce
further updates on these when appropriate.

Tweenie,
Your earlier query re: Mondini was as you thought mentioned in the T&G report:
"Forecast profile
The Greenseal technology is fundamental to the future financial profile of the group and critical in this are the underlying volume assumptions for each retailer, supplier and manufacturer. Our forecast financial model is based on the following underlying assumptions:
....................................................................................................................................
5. That Mondini launch a new machine during 2006 which sells 50 units initially rising to 150 the following year and 200 thereafter.

Oblo,
Could be that SEO were a bit premature with their statement, and the "tooling longevity" issue etc proved that perhaps it wasn't quite ready to be commercialised!
We know that Grampian have a Mondini machine, Hitchen have at least one proseal, but had provisionally ordered 4......
The initial orders occurred within a month of each other leading quickly to the "successful" conclusion to the trials followed by a long period devoid of any mention of GS.
Its now make or break time for GS, but hopefully we should be hearing of some orders flowing in.

Thanks for digging up that RNS of 23 May 2005. I have copied this to a query file and will be asking for clarification about it in due course as I do think that today's announcement on the web site only serves to muddy the waters against previous RNS and other announcements.
I have also sent an e-mail tonight to the Martin and Howard asking them to respond to the one I sent on behalf of many investors who between them own several million shares, as soon as possible.
I am determined to impress upon them that they have to be a lot less cavalier and lot less vague with their announcements in the future.

'Morning all
Just received an e-mail from Sylvia Leavey this morning in reply to one which I sent last night asking for a reply to the one I sent on Thursday last week, the contents of which I posted on three boards.
Sylvia said that Investor Relations had not received the e-mail. I replied that it was sent to her personally by mistake and that unless she had not opened her e-mail since Thursday last week, she should have seen it.
Does anyone get the impression of not only smoke and mirrors, but also incompetence and .... well untruths being dished out. Would you believe that someone in Sylvia's position would not open their e-mail for three whole days?
Makes you wonder doesn't it?
I have this morning again sent the message which I originally sent last week to Sylvia, to Investor Relations with a copy to Sylvia and asked her to confirm her receipt.
Hopefully I shall get confirmation of receipt and then a reply to the questions I asked in my message last week.

I have just picked this up from another board - I cannot substantiate it - and I would have expected an RNS - so doubt its valididty.
Has anyone else heard anything ??
"Packaging News magazine ran a front page article saying that Terry Robins was no longer COO and lots of other people had been sacked. And a new imterim sales director and project director had been appointed."

I think I shall send a message to Sylvia asking for confirmation of that and ask why, if it is true, it has not been announced in an RNS.

I heard a rumour last week that 13 people have been sacked. I think its got to do with a lack of operating cash.

Baza,
They wouldn't issue a RNS unless they had to, which I dont think they do in this situation. They're not voluntarily publicise the fact if it is true!

Where did you hear this rumour and is the source considered credible and reliable?
If that is true, I would love to get to speak to a couple of those people. They are sure to know a lot about what is going on and would probably be happy to dish the dirt.
I am sorry that I am sounding so negative about the company, but I am sure that there are some amongst us who feel as though we are seeing the makings of a "Titanic" here. If there is a possibility of this, then we need to know so that we can individually take our decisions as to what to do with our investment.

I heard it from a source I believe is very credible and reliable. There is nothing price sensitive about this info. But as you say, it indicates to me that cash flow is THE major issue.
We need some sort of income, if not SEO wont be around at xmas. I wasnt aware that Terry Ribbins was one of them however. I was hoping that the had got rid of the bottom layers, not the top!!!
