Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Now, how do I explain that I have lost 80k in a year to the missus. Let me see, oh fuck."
This guy is really going through it, posting comments every now and then. He said he has T trades way over his head and, in 2 day's time, he will owe his broker double what he owned in shares 3 months ago.
It's the first time I've looked at that thread for a few months and it is amzing how many still have their souls invested. Very sad really.
I know I once held a lot of these (and fortunately took a profit overall) but I never ever took them on margin.

Blimey that's terrible. BPRG's certainly been a learning experience for me too. Fortunately I've not got a large amount of capital invested even though I'm sitting on a large paper loss.
Is it worth holding onto them? I don't need to release the funds anytime soon, any chance they'll pick up again with a change of management perhaps? Surely the underlying technology's got potential, it just needs developing properly?

I am genuinely sorry for you folk still in on BPRG as I don't like to see anyone lose decent dosh. I'm even sorry for the folk who took shots as us SEO holders last if you are still in. SEO has risen to 21p but read the thread, I personally believe could be 100p this year based on product fundamentals and earnings potential. If you want to recover some losses consider it.
It may recover but then again it might not, up to you guys, good luck anyway.

Get out now Kivver and into SEO, 21p is a bargain, 5m bought this morning for 21p, large investors and institutions are snapping up cheap SEO shares. Next RNS from SEO will be US supply deal and it will fly. Trust me, I'm trying to help you guys recover your losses, we are all investors trying to make more money at the end of the day. I'm not ramping SEO for my own gain either.

kivver , sympathies but make your own mind up and don't be influenced by others as that is what probably got you into these in the first place.

The trading statement referenced the Tampa subsidiary results falling short. Does anyone know how big is the Tampa subsidiary in overall BPRG terms? Not in these just curious as it seems like a horrendous fall. Could it be a buying opp?

To me it shows just how clueless they are about running a manufacturing operation.
This was always the danger.

Just for interest. How much cash in hand has BPRG. Told you Dil to go short. I think long is now the choice.

Dil, just what is your position on BPRG then. Trawling through this thread you never has a positive thing to say about the other BPRG posters pointing out the positives of their investment over the last six months, you have always argued the opposite. Fact is that whilst BPRG have many good product streams, getting them to market profitably is the issue at the moment and who knows where that will lead. Summary is I agree with your basic views, I have just not posted to be antagonistic to other holders. The fact is that all people on these bb's are trying to improve our wealth and I do not like to see anyone lose heavily.
I just feel SEO is a good opportunity to recover losses, thats all I will say, people can make their own minds up about BPRG and any other investment choices but these bb's are where we can discuss all opinions
BPRG holders, whatever you decide to do with BPRG and any other investments, good luck.

You are correct Andy ... I have never had anything positive to say about bprg and still don't.
I too was trying to be helpful , ie don't touch these with a bargepole. I gave my reasons why about a year ago but got fed up with the abuse from the 99% of bulls who could see nothing but blue skies so I then gave up giving reasons but continued to post negative comments as I believed it had further to fall.
If you want a reason for my current negative stance then how about - "don't try to catch a falling knife". I did with Energis and lost the lot but I learnt a valuable lesson
For you to come on here and tell BPRG holders to buy SEO cos there's a deal coming and its going to fly is sick - thats the exact type of bull they been hearing about bprg for the last year.
Good luck , hope it happens for SEO but you knowing of a deal thats going to make SEO fly makes me laugh and is more of a reason not to invest in them than to invest in them imo.
Hope the explanation helps.
Regards
Dil

Fred1 - think brokers estimate is about 7 million cash in hand and 2 million loan note but not too sure.

I agree with you andysmith and fail to see how trying to help others is sick. Everyone is entitled to DTOR on SEO and make a decision for themselves. I unfortunately got hit by BPRG today but also hold SEO and have a lot of faith in what they are doing.
Dont see the need for mud slinging on this BB as people have a right to an opinion ( both positive and negative ).
We all know the potential risks and rewards.
Points of view are appreciated but accusations and insults are best not posted

At least BPRG had the decency to send out this press release so soon after the results and did'nt keep the info to themselves for a longer time. But this does point to management ignorance of what must have been obvious a month ago.
I believe that there are" technologies which could produce significant value ON COMMERCIALISATION"(my capital letters!)to quote their statement...but this company has disapointed shareholders before and could remain seriously out of favour if the situation does'nt improve within a few months.
If I still owned these shares,I would'nt sell at this price unless absolutely positive feeling about some other share in order to recoup losses elsewhere.
To have lost about 75% of value in a year with such potentially successful technologies is a disgrace. But,if they still have 7 million then things are maybe not as awful as they seem to be.They are not going bankrupt are they?
Would'nt one of the major pharmas be interested in their technologies at this price?

Rasenberg : You can sod off too , it was blatant ramping the same kind of blatant ramping that litters this and every other bprg thread.
Fine , have an opinion on SEO but to say its gonna fly cos there's a deal coming is total b*llox ... ask one of the bprg shareholders that you claim to have so much sympathy for.

Dil: you can sod off too....oh dear oh dear. This is supposed to be a page for both constructive and funny banter I always thought. Guess one thing is clear being long bprg and not owning seo does not get people in a good mood unfortunately
