Still can't run profits - didn't catch that fantastic spike today on Cable but closed a long a few minutes before, and closed three more longs after it (total about 50 points). Could have left any of them to run but I just can't - the only times I have done in the past I've lost a load!

Bet some of you have made a fortune today.

I'm sorry, hodgins, but I'm going to offer a contrarian view.

Cable seems to have been supported at 1.7850 over recent days. It has failed to push significantly lower and is now looking well oversold on my oscillators. I suspect that bear stops are currently located at around 1.7950 and, if we can push through that level, we could see a squeeze and a subsequent up-leg over the next few days. I wouldn't be surprised if weak employment data doesn't turn out to be the catalyst this lunchtime.

I know ..... sad when the oscillators don't work, isn't it? ISM below forecasts too? What's a girl to do?

The trouble is, too many players see Cable as being a longer term carry trade sell now and are quick to offload into any rally. Their argument is very simplistic in that US interest rates have got further to rise percentage wise from 1.5% than UK rates have from 4.75%. Fundamentally, I disagree but technically the chart says that the 1.90 high is quite probably in place.
