Socrates - 24 Oct 2007 16:56 - 18780 of 24230

Soccs here, forky in another place. I also have a musical moniker in a different arena TIM.

Spaceman - 24 Oct 2007 19:16 - 18781 of 24230

Back home in Sevenoaks and I am pleased to inform you of the main findings from my expedition up north:

1) The locals are friendly
2) The pubs in Frodsham are nice.
3) The Indian in Frodsham is OK
4) Wythenshawe is not nice

All in all I tyhoughrly recommend a trip up north for anyone who has not been.

The language is slightly tricky and difficult to understand at times ;-)

MightyMicro - 24 Oct 2007 21:06 - 18782 of 24230

Spaceman, did you bring us back any local delicacies, like pickled whippet?

chocolat - 24 Oct 2007 21:54 - 18783 of 24230

Oh 'eck, more than 500 posts since I last popped in :S

Spacie - were you up in my neck again without saying hello?
And what's wrong with Wythenshawe? I was there last week, and the doctors were ever so nice.

KEAYDIAN - 24 Oct 2007 21:56 - 18784 of 24230

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

chocolat - 24 Oct 2007 22:04 - 18785 of 24230

Ok - I ventured a couple of pages back - over and under Dezza?
Take it you don't go for a side by side then :P

Gonna go and snuggle up now.

MightyMicro - 24 Oct 2007 22:41 - 18786 of 24230

Cheeky Choccie: Well the advantage of side-by-side is there's less of a weight problem which means you tire more slowly and can carry on all day. Over and under introduces more weight but absorbs much more recoil so you can shoot many more times in a day without bruising bits of yourself.

Does that help?

:))

optomistic - 25 Oct 2007 08:35 - 18787 of 24230

Good morning all.
Everyone still snuggled up up :-)
You stay in there Choccy it's cool out.

BLARE.......BLARE.......BLARE.......Surface, Surface, Surface.

Open the hatch and let the fresh air in.

Tea and breakfast please.

I note that the Frodsham pubs have been condemned as "nice", oh dear.

Bluelady - 25 Oct 2007 09:31 - 18791 of 24230

Good morning optomistic, Socrates and Keaydian....I've just finished my FIRST cup of tea, lol.

cobber - 25 Oct 2007 10:17 - 18792 of 24230

Morning everbody

Have not ventured in here for some time.

Bluelady, scones for you. I'll take two sugars for my FIRST cuppa please.

Bluelady - 25 Oct 2007 10:22 - 18793 of 24230

Good morning cobber,

Only talking about missing you yesterday, lol. So you haven't had a cup of tea or coffee yet. One very strong cup of tea coming up with two sugars. Thanks for the scones.

cobber - 25 Oct 2007 10:37 - 18794 of 24230

Thanks Bluelady. Mmmmm tastes good. Scones still a bit warm. Cream melting slightly. Drip drip.

Bluelady - 25 Oct 2007 10:42 - 18795 of 24230

Cobber,

Are you Australian, lol, as cobber is an australian term for a friend?

cobber - 25 Oct 2007 10:57 - 18796 of 24230

Hi Bluelady

Well googled! Lol.

Bluelady - 25 Oct 2007 11:06 - 18797 of 24230

Cobber, you must be an accountant. A correct answer as I did google it, however my question was are, you an Australian, lol. How about activating your email address?

Spaceman - 25 Oct 2007 11:12 - 18798 of 24230

Morning all, I slept for 12 hours last night! I think that was a reaction to too much alcohol in Frodsham!

MM, pickled whippet ! sounds nice but I didn't pick any up, the only thing I brought back was a pen that I nicked from the Forest Hills hotel in Frodsham!

Chocky, I don't think there is anything wrong with Wythenshawe that couldn't be sorted out with a bulldozer, ;-)

I had a walk round the Wythenshawe Centre yesterday lunchtime, I don't think I have seen such a density of 'pound' shops for a long while. The highlight was a meat shop selling all sorts of meat on a table outside including packets of raw meat with vegetables in the same pack and described as 'stir fry'.

Time for a quick cuppa and a Danish if there are any available....

Bluelady - 25 Oct 2007 11:14 - 18799 of 24230

Spaceman, LOL that long sleep didn't help your spelling. Danish pastry and a cuppa on its way.
