Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Locked-out UBS traders head to the pub
LONDON | Tue Oct 30, 2012 6:04pm GMT
(Reuters) - Dozens of UBS traders spent their day in the pub rather than at the Swiss bank's London headquarters after they found out that their security passes no longer worked.
The traders - many of them from the bank's fixed income department - soon discovered they had been put on two weeks special leave as part of UBS's plans to cut 10,000 staff in a retreat from fixed income.

See Tarzan has risen again.
Policy similar to what has previously advocated by labour and others.
Good to see a unified tory elite once more.

Does anybody now the daily cost to the UK and those involved in import, export and the cost to the remnants of the UK "manufacturing industries", of the exchange of Sterling to the Euro and vice versa?
It is a nice little earner for the city.

I am feeling deeply scarred by the reporting of the Savile affair.
I feel the whole episode has affected my life.
I am not sure if I should consider suing for compensation and whether my complaints should be addressed to the Savile estate or various media outlets.

By the way congratulations to Cameron at clique on their control of the rags of their party.
Hear that Tarzan is being wooed as new party leader. Thought he always had aspirations to replace Maggie.
The least he could do would be to lend Wavey Davey and Georgie Boy his books on economics.

A body has been found in deep water of the coast of Porquerolles (island near Toulon) in southern France.....how on earth did this young cyclist end up in the water ?....in a storm ?..bizarre... not exactly the place for a flashflood as the southern part of this island is rocky terrain and very few vertical drops...drops yes...but not straight into the water.... and water would not be able to wash him into the sea....very very...sad...and these islands are a paradise in summer....very sorry for Mr and Mrs Barnes and family...

RF,
From what I read a few days ago, the young lad had gone to find a cove that his family had found earlier in the day.
Due to him not being found earlier, I thought had he had probably gone into the sea.

Five terrorists have been caught apparently plotting an attack on British tourists in an Egyptian resort in the lead-up to Christmas.
The suspected jihadists were arrested by Egyptian counter terror police as they collected rocket-propelled grenades, rifles and pistols in an attempt believed to be similar to the Mumbai attacks in India which killed 166 people in November 2008.
The arrests come as al-Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri called for a new wave of violence, appealing to jihadists around the world to attack and kidnap westerners.
