THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I am feeling deeply scarred by the reporting of the Savile affair.
I feel the whole episode has affected my life.
I am not sure if I should consider suing for compensation and whether my complaints should be addressed to the Savile estate or various media outlets.

By the way congratulations to Cameron at clique on their control of the rags of their party.
Hear that Tarzan is being wooed as new party leader. Thought he always had aspirations to replace Maggie.

The least he could do would be to lend Wavey Davey and Georgie Boy his books on economics.

A body has been found in deep water of the coast of Porquerolles (island near Toulon) in southern France.....how on earth did this young cyclist end up in the water ?....in a storm ?..bizarre... not exactly the place for a flashflood as the southern part of this island is rocky terrain and very few vertical drops...drops yes...but not straight into the water.... and water would not be able to wash him into the sea....very very...sad...and these islands are a paradise in summer....very sorry for Mr and Mrs Barnes and family...

RF,

From what I read a few days ago, the young lad had gone to find a cove that his family had found earlier in the day.
Due to him not being found earlier, I thought had he had probably gone into the sea.

Five terrorists have been caught apparently plotting an attack on British tourists in an Egyptian resort in the lead-up to Christmas.

The suspected jihadists were arrested by Egyptian counter terror police as they collected rocket-propelled grenades, rifles and pistols in an attempt believed to be similar to the Mumbai attacks in India which killed 166 people in November 2008.

The arrests come as al-Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri called for a new wave of violence, appealing to jihadists around the world to attack and kidnap westerners.

egypt can say good bye to tourists for ever.

cynic - 02 Nov 2012 09:00 - 18838 of 81564

and your point is what exactly?
egypt has hardly been the safest place for tourists for a good number of years, but still they continue to flock to sharm el shaikh (as they do to jeruslaem), though i accept the numbers are down hugely over the last 12 months - but so are they in spain

TANKER - 02 Nov 2012 09:19 - 18839 of 81564

just for you cynic as you can not read between the lines .
the western world as allowed the west to be taken over .
the future is looking grim for the generations to come .
the population in 1911 1.2b now over 7b .and will it 9b
in 2050 the world is being destroyed it can not and willl not

and take back control from lunatics
