jj, What's this about Bunny and her working conditions 'are a bit debatable'? Let me take you by the hand and show you around the gorgeous kitchen we have. Marble flooring (under-heated naturally), 2 large ovens plus open-fire, plenty of work space and all the mod-cons like icecream maker, do'nut and candy floss machines. I suppose the only draw-back is Bunnies costume - not a lot to it! :-)

Littlewillie, we have 36 degrees here to, ok remove 30 from that!

Fundy, Now please behave yourself whilst the missus is gone.

NOTE TO ALL FELLOW PARENTS OF MOBILE PHONE OWNING KIDS.
Just had to spend some time yesterday and this morning complaining
like fury over a company offering ring-tones - which are very attractive
let's be honest to the kids. Please warn your youngsters, even if it says
on the internet site that the ring-tone is free, they could be getting into
more then they realise, very very easily.

My youngest who's pretty savvy and knows not to knowingly agree to anything
on the net has been caught by a company, having downloaded what was supposed
to be only a free ringtone, he thought anyway, all he gave them
was his mobile number and No other details.

The company proceeded to send text messages to him (3 yesterday)
saying more ring-tones are available, the real con
was, each text message has cost him 1.50 - so they used 4.50 of his
credit on his pay-as-you-go phone within minutes.

I've kicked up merry hell as the company say it was a package agreement,
fact is you can't sell packages or contracts to kids who are under age!
A fact I told them straight I knew and so should they.
Anyway I'm on a promise of a cash refund - ideally they wanted my bank account
details to electronically transfer the money - Yeah Right no chance!
You could say I am on the promise of my money back because it was a genuine
mistake by the company...you could say it's because I have screamed blue
murder and told them I'm going to trading standards....I am making no comment either way.

Two points of call if this happens to one of your kids:
Firstly you ring the company as a parent and find out exactly who they are - the actual name of the firm concerned and get the service/contract/package stopped. If the child is under 16, tell them flat the agreement can't be because they are too young. If you can try and agree/demand any refund due if they have been charging your kids mobile unfairly.

Secondly ring your local trading standards office at the council and secondly ICSTIS the regulator, who monitor services to mobiles. These firms need shutting down or their trading policies amending, and there are many of them.

For obvious reasons I'm not going to say who the firm were in our particular instance, but trading standards say this is getting more and more common.
Sorry this is one very cross bunny!!! :>(

Golddog - 19 Nov 2004 14:34 - 18904 of 23498

Well said Bunny - to right!

jj50 - 19 Nov 2004 14:40 - 18905 of 23498

OK GD I believe you - the bunny is just totally pampered in that kitchen ...... virtual salary though, didn't see that mentioned ..........

Agree about the ring tones bun - such a con, isn't it.

Nearer 32 degrees F now - think my washing looking a bit stiff on the line!!!

stockbunny - 19 Nov 2004 14:45 - 18906 of 23498

;>)

Golddog - 19 Nov 2004 15:12 - 18910 of 23498

I must admit Bun buns you were high on Shiraz at the time.

Scams! I hate scams. For a booklet on how to avoid scams please send a cheque for 95 to 'poochy-poos plc'.

stockbunny - 19 Nov 2004 15:16 - 18911 of 23498

LOL Poochy!!
Oh so thats would explain it, cos I'm usually quite sensible when it
comes money, but there again there's a certain FCCN share holding I have
...hmmm better re-phrase that
I TRY and be sensible when it comes to money!! :>)

Oh well I suppose you are worth working with for free, just remember
to pack me up in your suitcase for the next trip to Spain - just call
it back-pay, or a perk of the job :>)

Golddog - 19 Nov 2004 15:27 - 18912 of 23498

I like perks of the job Bun buns, and your welcome to fit in my suitcase next time i go to Spain, in the mean time if anything pops up you are welcome to have it for being such a good bunny.

Have a nice weekend everybody and do behave!
;-)

ps, i'm still waiting for this picy of Hot Chocy?

jj50 - 19 Nov 2004 15:29 - 18913 of 23498

Quite a nice perk bunny ........ now I understand the agreement between you and the pooch :-))

Is the hot chocolate still available? Would really welcome it. One of those days I am afraid - I'm even sending e-mails to the wrong addresses, so shall slow down and give up for the week! Any chance of a doughnut to go with the chocolate (been to the gym twice this week but realised it takes 20 minutes on the bike to work off one choccie digestive) - life can be cruel sometimes... on reflection, cancel the doughnut - my legs couldn't take the pedalling.

stockbunny - 19 Nov 2004 15:30 - 18914 of 23498

Doubtful anything will Poochy..have you seen that toaster it
can't pop up anything these days so toast is off the menu!
(That is what you meant isn't it?,.....)
;>)

JJ!! Virtual hot chocolate - no calories!!! :>)

jj50 - 19 Nov 2004 15:36 - 18915 of 23498

Yes, hot toast can leave you with your fingers burnt...

I'll have a virtual doughnut too in that case ...:-)
