Bonjour chaps and chapessess

little willie - 16 Aug 2003 18:25 - 1897 of 23498

t i m ..you realise you flirting with death or worse by even 'suggesting' there's anything wrong with Hils favourite team.
Mind you, with her beloved Zola gone that could [?] change.

Jeff..Ce Va
Who did your lot have a fight with today?
More importantly I have to find out how the Saints did before I go out for a Saturday 'Ruby' at 7.30, just back from playing in a big golf comp...
don't ask - played crap [actually not even that good!].

b.barwick - 16 Aug 2003 19:47 - 1898 of 23498

Tea with 4 sugars please!

Socrates - 16 Aug 2003 20:43 - 1899 of 23498

Four sugars? That's not much for a pint mug BB!

Hi all, sorry for my absence for today but I have been partaking the delights of National Express and visiting the big smoke. Antiques Fair at Earls Court. It was not as good as the ones held at the NEC so I won't be going to all that bother again. Food was better than the NEC though, so all was not lost.

Just wanting to sit in a comfy chair, have a good pot of tea and put my feet up.

Socrates - 17 Aug 2003 10:34 - 1900 of 23498

Good morning campers.

little willie - 17 Aug 2003 18:24 - 1901 of 23498

Socs..did you meet Crocodile shoes at the fair or another miss.
Watched a lot of cricket over w/end, test now really poised for an exciting finish.
Got the USPGA final round tonight so will be late for the wooden hill, golf at 8am tommorrow so may be crap again!
Time for a cuppa rosie...night all...lw

This_is_me - 17 Aug 2003 18:27 - 1902 of 23498

Socks.

You are not in the RAF anymore - this is a posh place where the ladies wear Jimmy Choos and tea is served in cups with saucers and that is not flying saucers (except late on a Saturday night)

Socrates - 17 Aug 2003 19:51 - 1903 of 23498

I do hope it is not going to be a case of "defeat snatched out of the jaws of victory" again.

I don't know if Croc was there at the antiques fair, I certainly didn't see any crocodile shoes. (Do crocodiles wear shoes?)

T-I-M
I know I'm not in the RAF anymore, I know this because my pay cheque stopped arriving and that's why I have to live on a pittance that I have to earn!

jeffmack - 17 Aug 2003 21:00 - 1904 of 23498

Saw lots of RAF sorts at the Eastbourne Airborne show. Saw Spitfire and Hurricane and plenty of others flying very low just of the beach. Fantastic sight

Socrates - 17 Aug 2003 23:02 - 1905 of 23498

Brings a lump to yer froat, dunnit?

jeffmack - 17 Aug 2003 23:05 - 1906 of 23498

It sure does, especially with old war time hits belting out

jeffmack - 18 Aug 2003 16:16 - 1907 of 23498

Socs, from a reliable source on the Traders Room

PDX at 50p on a T15 should be a winner for anyone who wants a punt on a rumour of contract news.
I'm still very long from 35p and up, but this is no ramp (honest):-)

Socrates - 18 Aug 2003 17:14 - 1908 of 23498

Jeff, thanks for that. I'll see if I can get away with raiding the piggy bank.

little willie - 19 Aug 2003 09:57 - 1909 of 23498

jeff..mail rec'd..You are, without doubt an amazing guy,is there anything on the net that you don't know or haven't seen?
I just haven't a clue and am in a completely different league!

jeffmack - 19 Aug 2003 12:49 - 1910 of 23498

LW.. LOL Did you like the "Anna" pictures.

little willie - 19 Aug 2003 16:05 - 1911 of 23498

Jeff..certainly did [wasn't your missus, was it?], I think I'd prefer that latest Ruskie who played this year. Beautiful body, co-ordination and can play a bit [I realise that this is incidental}.
I do think those, couple of 'post boxs' on the boat take a bit of BEATING [there's a joke somewhere there!!].

Just had a good look at my TD Waterhouse account, it was a frequents trader account @ 11.95 a shot but they moved the goal posts some months ago and forgot to tell me. I can't prove that they didn't notify me.

Anyway, when I sold 100k shares in PRM a few months ago they charged an astronomical fee. I hadn't even looked at the account but after trying to deal today and coming up against problems I've decided to go elsewhere, but where?

I'm not a day trader and are trading less and less, I want internet trades and prefer to have a nominee account that pays proper interest.

I'm going to have to pay about 15 per stock to transfer [ presently hold about 17 stocks] so I want to know that where I'm going is in for the duration, works well, economical and is a safe house.

Any advice with details would be appreciated, I did wonder about Hargreaves Lansdown at Bristol but am sure there must be better options....lw

Did you raid the piggy bank?

Socrates - 19 Aug 2003 19:27 - 1914 of 23498

Hi Jeff, have you any idea how long it takes to winkle pennies from a piggy bank? I'm just waiting for a cheque to clear putting more funds at t'brokers then I shall be in there. I suppose I could have sold something but I'm not ready to drop any of my holdings off just yet.

little willie - 19 Aug 2003 21:17 - 1915 of 23498

Socs,, no idea how to do itbut I'm an open book with nothing to hide.
...regards...lw

ps. Socs, thanks, mail rec'd
