Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

It's a freature of the ADVFN boards that 'free' board users can see the thread titles on the 'premium' board but no more. Needless to say it is occasionally used by premium users to taunt the hoi-poloi.

Threads like 'Racing Certainties -- for Premium users eyes only!!'

We need "- n of m" after the time stamp, where n is the current post number on this thread/topic and m is the current total number of posts on this thread.

When do we get rid of the double login (once for the site, another for the BB)?

by popular request, I'm making the line graphs black (or maybe a tasteful shade of grey) instead of red. but there'll eventually be a 'Colourful' colour setting so you can still have red graphs if you want. Later perhaps let people set up their own colour schemes.

A couple of observations:

The Other Place permits you to have a lower case letter as the first letter of your nickname. So do we, but then we capitilise it in posts, but not on the thread list.

If we're bringing folks over from The Other Place, or Over the Road as it is also known, shouldn't we allow them to retain their nicknames, lower case initial letters and all?

This is behaving to form -- there may be some problems left, but all the ones I observed look like they're fixed.

Well done Nick.

Spoke too soon -- on the Threads List, posts are still marhed as "new" even when I've read them, even after a refresh. Also, an updated thread isn't lifted to the top of the list -- it seems.
