I seem to have upset Goldfinger . The only thing i can say is what greekman said , that its sometimes difficult to follow post's when there are to many post's on filter.

ald - but you can't simply decide that this bit of the bible is literal and that bit is metaphorical every time a scientific fact emerges that disproves yet another part of it. Have a look at Richard Dawkins talking to George Coyne, he almost entirely refutes the whole of catholic doctrine and refers everything back to faith.

Why are you posters breaking away from the original thread?. You can use filter anytime you want . I dont accept that its not an effective tool. I think its down right rude to steal somebody elses idea and NOT even give an explanation.

If you think you have a discipline case, Ian should be contacted and then he and Bull Share should rule on it under the 2 yellows and red card system thats been in play since 2002.

To my knowledge its still in play, I myself have a yellow card awarded against me as I was being pestered by a former poster.

For myself I would never put anyone on squelch just because they disagree with me or my views, in fact I have often enjoyed and learned from opposite opinion-ed posts as we all can learn from others.
I know that the filter system should can be used, but certain threads get taken over by certain posters, who even when squelched it is still impossible not so see the often 50% posters that still reply to them.
I do not want to squelch everyone who does continue the dialog with these people as often they do posts great posts to read. My gripe is that it is often not worth the time wading through all the dross replies to the person squelched, to find the worthwhile stuff.
The original thread used to be a great place to debate a multitude of issues until it was spoiled by mainly one person, and I hope this thread can get back to similar stuff.
As to explanation. I am sure most of us knew why this 'alternative thread was started', but I do take your point, it could have been explained.
If you still disagree with my views on this, we had better agree to differ.

Goldfinger....Only just remembered that you started the original thread (have a few more grey days of late), so must add that I thought it was a great idea, and I still do. I am sure you started it with the wish that we could all post on any subject under the sun, and for a long while I thought this was the best thread on MoneyAm.
I am sure you feel as I do that it was spoiled by being hijacked by certain people for their own agenda.
I now appreciate more why you are annoyed.

No not at all. I appreciate your intentions on starting a new thread were well intended, and I fully agree it is worth a try (I might now be accused of appeasing Aldwick), but I can see why his nose is out of joint. In my opinion I think you both want both threads to be used as first intended.
When the first thread came out I enjoyed the banter so much I actually tried to start a similar thread on a competitors site, but I wasn't a member so I couldn't do so.

As to Frank Warren, I agree although I do think he is right to be annoyed that Chisora's appeal against his license withdrawal had been pushed back to July.

Mind you the Boxing Board of Control is about as useless as FIFA in making decisions.

As we know money in both sports over rules everything else.
