Opening hours on certain markets will change for Wednesday 5 December, as the US observes a national day of mourning for America's 41st president George H.W. Bush.

• US equities: closed for pre/main/post sessions, and will re-open as usual on Thursday
• US indices: will be closed between 2.30pm and 11pm (UK time) on Wednesday. However, we will be quoting an out-of-hours price on the DOW, S&P 500, Nasdaq and US Russell 2000
• US index options: closed, will re-open as usual on Thursday
• US interest rates: closed from 10pm (UK time) on Tuesday 4 December, re-opens at 11pm on Wednesday
• US commodities: expected to be trading as normal
