What are the prospects for Mos International (MOI)

g64946 - 25 Feb 2005 08:32 - 19 of 113

Another relatively busy buying start for MOI with 4 trades by about 8.15.
Presumably the mining boom is supporting this one & thanks for the information chad & roots...

March results anticpation probably a lift for this one too.
Any other news would be interesting?

queen1 - 25 Feb 2005 09:30 - 20 of 113

Guys - I'm not quite sure that I'm understanding this correctly. This BB keeps talking about the sp rising (i.e. "in the blue") and general movement all-round but as far as I can make out it has not moved out of the 0.73-0.75p range for weeks. What am I missing?

g64946 - 25 Feb 2005 10:04 - 21 of 113

Point taken queen1 - agreed limited sp movement but apparent higher buying activity over last few weeks. More buys than sells recemtly & apparent trend of larger buys early in day. To be fair yesterday ended up with more sells overall.

Got a hunch on this one, but struggling for information which makes me wary of jumping in. As you put it, it seems a good egg...but I don't want it on my face!

MOI is in the oil services sector, not mining. It has recently completed a restructuring of the company. Scan the company's press releases and the BB's for more info. A dealers tip for 2005.

chad - 25 Feb 2005 11:08 - 23 of 113

All buys, nice. Got to be some movement some time soon.

rootsconsulting - 25 Feb 2005 12:33 - 24 of 113

Yes - looks extremely good. Excellent technical chart on ADVFN's bulletion board & some very bullish comments to0 which confirm the action . Added 180k today (very reluctant sell of some Stanelco!!!). For info, see Reuter's recent MOI reports.

rootsconsulting - 25 Feb 2005 13:46 - 25 of 113

...above average volume again and it's only 1.45pm. Where are the bears today?

queen1 - 25 Feb 2005 14:03 - 26 of 113

...and where is the sp movement?

chad - 25 Feb 2005 14:10 - 27 of 113

bid price up to 0.72p. Would have expected more tho with the 4 million volume, all buys.

rootsconsulting - 25 Feb 2005 14:26 - 28 of 113

I agree they are a bit slow. Probably long lunch!!
The sp movement happened at 2:02:35. The bid went up just a little from 0.70 to 0.72. At which point we saw our first bear stepping up to sell off 1.5m at 0.76.
But that's not all... since then we've had 4 buys totalling 475k & 1 sell of 100k. It's not even 2:30pm and 23 trades in total have now gone through. This is NOT typical activity for this company. We now have twice average daily volume.
As with all AIM companies, it's wise to be objective though...
Cheers

chad - 25 Feb 2005 14:43 - 29 of 113

I agree rootsconsulting. At least theres the beginning of a surge in interest in this share though. Up until recently there has been a dearth of published material about the company, but ive seen around 3 articles in the past week or so.

g64946 - 25 Feb 2005 14:43 - 30 of 113

At last the blue purchases have a little impact on the price 0.75/0.8 now....
Must have been my earlier purchase thats helped it start rolling....my timing looks right for the day, but lets hope for the future too!

chad - 25 Feb 2005 14:45 - 31 of 113

Hurray, at last those idiots at the exchange have put there finger out.

rootsconsulting - 25 Feb 2005 14:49 - 32 of 113

Is 0.75/0.85 - good enough? I use a broker who's very good with price (usually/regularly inside the yellow strip price). Earlier today when I bought I got in at 0.78 when the market price was 0.80. The offer is now at 0.85 and they won't better it. How much movement do we need for the sp movement to be significant? Please advise as I'm no expert on these matters.
Have a good weekend. Next week will be interesting!!

paulgrip - 25 Feb 2005 15:04 - 33 of 113

I jumped on board this morning after reading the article in 'Shares' and then doing a bit of research. My broker took about 20 mins to fill the order but finally managed to fill the order at 0.79 instead of 0.8. Sounds like this company has a promising future, and once it gets fully recognised the sp should really move.

g64946 - 25 Feb 2005 15:06 - 34 of 113

All aboard & fingers crossed then guys!
Lets hope the management are as good as they say.

chad - 25 Feb 2005 15:08 - 35 of 113

Im as dubious as you rootconsulting about how the pricing mechanism works, but what i do know is that a lot of it is up to the MM's discretion. However, trades today, even though higher volume than usual, only add up to around 40,000+, which isnt that really much, on a market cap of 8 million + somewhere around 0.5% traded, Im not v. good with maths so this may be a bit out, please correct me if im wrong. Im happy to see movement though, however small. Next week, like you say should be interesting.

iturama - 27 Feb 2005 08:29 - 36 of 113

Be encouraged by the fundamentals, plus the following technical analysis:

iturama - 28 Feb 2005 08:09 - 37 of 113

Expect another tick up today. All buys so far.

rootsconsulting - 28 Feb 2005 09:02 - 38 of 113

Morning everyone!
I guess we're all more than happy with our MOI positions?
Anyone read P16 (particularly column 6) of 'The Business' this weekend?
Just a sniff of a contract - that's all we need. Thing is - there's so much business out there (Saudi) that MOI don't even really need to win a tender. Just picking up the phone and offering what they have should be enough - and they're already heavily active in the region so no great shakes in getting kit etc out there. It's not even 9am! and we're already ABOVE AVERAGE VOLUME for 4th day running - 20 trades. Think we can call this share active now?
Thanks for the tech analysis, Iturama. Much appreciated.
