Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Dil; I did at 108p as posted on traders thread in the Trader Room(you know me too well to miss a chance like that) Averaging down,,hmmm, having bought originally at 34p and at 48p I call it averaging up:-0. The ones I bought at 126p yesterday , well that's another story:-(
Seen all this with Shield about 4 years ago and had very sore heals. Kept trading Shield in and out , made good money but should of just held and sat back. Aftr FMC deal very happy to hold, and not bothered when or if another deal is in the offing.
This time happy to sell some at top and buy more back on a retracement.
All the fun of the fair.

There is no doubt there is lots of potential in BPRG, it's down to the individual investor or speculator how much value he pins on it and how much he thinks the market will pay for it. There in lies a lot of the skill.

Dil; Too right, which means you should be well out of the market u sad old git:-). You are getting just like the old sage Martini.
Scrip> Wise words indeed. But instead of 'There in lies a lot of the skill.' you could have said 'there is a lot of skill in lies':-)

So Dil, given the potential, when are you adding this to your pension fund? The trend is clearly up and I know it is annoying to have missed paying the sub-70p price that was available only last month but investors and traders shouldn't be swayed by emotion....:)

Seems that when it comes to some shares then charts, following rsl's, not getting attached to a share, etc., all go out the window. Potential is just that - what's the patent position? (can it be got round/duplicated easily?) - anyone know what the Japanese are up to? What if BPRG lose their patent lawsuit against Stanelco + what will it cost even if they win?
Fundamentals? Better by miles than PDX and even PRM but can someone explain that if the TOTAL revenues by the FMC deal = 86m, = 14m per year with a generous net 20% profit margin = 2.8m profit PA justify a 120m+ cap. In 6 years their patent will have long gone/been got round. More deals - assume they double the above - 10 bagger from 1.20 - I don't think so - best they can hope for is 2 imo with a new big deal. Forget the hype - look at the facts and wait for the deal. Mind you that won't stop the punters piling in but as I always say wtfdik.
Mind you I'm just jealous of these guys that got in at 40-50 and I missed it :)

Gianni - you may be right to question 2+ this year and justify it. Even the long term die-hards over the road have never said it is a ten bagger in one year but over several. What they do argue though is that the product is one that appears to have the lead in its industry and "could" become an industry standard.
Certainly, its water-soluble film for pills is flexible, can be mass-produced with the company logo on each pill (preventing counterfeiting), can be made faster than today's methods, are gelatin-free, can control rate of absorption in the body, can carry more than one drug in a pill and be released at different times, etc etc. There are 4 separate technologies and FMC have collared one of them only. The OTC deal to come covers another one for the USA and EU. So plenty left to licence. They also have the ostomy deal with Bristol Myers Squibb already signed and likely to start producing royalties this year.
The very optimistic say that this scenario is Microsoft-like. So, yes, there is huge potential but many challenges lie ahead. However, the acceptance by FMC and others after much due diligence is an enormous vote of confidence and a re-rating was justified. The question is how do you value such potential? Opinions on "gone too far" or "in the price" are difficult to substantiate one way or the other.
Even so, if the price does fly this year, I will certainly take profits along the way.

Nice post bones.
Have been in this stock many years, had some worries but have done much research on this. BPRG has some seriously good patents and some very determined people.

If it fails at 140p then we could get a lower low , jury is out at the moment.
