RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Just for clarification - i have rerun the TM100 mkt caps - of those not in the list currently the highest 4 are as follows:

VTH Vtech Holdings 160.3m
CRP Cryptologic 156.8m
RTD Retail Decisions 82.8m
CVA Ceva 79.5m

Baltimore are due to be delisted, Vtech and Cryptologic are both deemed illiquid which leaves RTD as the first placed candidate - i will be very surprised if RTD do not replace WRCX in the announcement later today

Fundamentalist - 04 Jan 2005 17:32 - 1908 of 2406

Well -WRCX are to be replaced by phoenix it (pnx).

Ian T

I ran stockscreener this am to assess which of the techmark all share stocks would be admitted to the techmark 100 on WRCX delisting using the index membership filter . PNT did not show up as a techmark allshare security yet they are the company being admitted. I have subsequently checked the list i ran and only 93 of the current 100 TM100 shares are classified as Techmark shares - this info is obviously not accurate/up to date - is it just this filter or does it apply to others on the stock screener. This concerns me as i use this info to help determine likely entrants to indexes and i now have no faith in the info that stock screener provides

Douggie - 04 Jan 2005 18:17 - 1909 of 2406

Thanks Fund. ............. :-/ lots more waiting and hopeing.. ;o\

Fundamentalist - 04 Jan 2005 18:34 - 1910 of 2406

Douggie

Just frustrating that i spent a lot of time re-doing the calcs to reassure myself only to find out that the info i was using was inaccurate - just glad i didnt top up on the back of my calcs (i nearly did)

overgrowth - 05 Jan 2005 00:06 - 1911 of 2406

Fundy - could well be a good time to top up anyway, it looks as though buying support is coming back.

Other tipsters are starting to notice RTD now - I wonder when RHPS will be recommending a buy again....lol!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Jan 2005 07:11 - 1912 of 2406

Fundamentalist,

Sorry I did not catch your post yesterday evening, I had already finished for the day - anyway, I will get the tech guys to take a look into this and will let you know their findings.

Patent Re-Examination Decision

Retail Decisions plc ("ReD"), the fuel card operator and a world leader in card
fraud prevention and payment processing, is pleased to announce the US Patent
and Trademark Office ("USPTO") has stated on its web site (www.uspto.gov) that
it has decided to re-examine the granting of the patent that is the subject of
an alleged infringement claim by Cybersource Corporation against ReD's US
subsidiary. The relevant patent is US patent number 6,029,154.

The USPTO's decision is in response to a re-examination request submitted by
ReD, following the discovery (by ReD) of "prior art" that pre-dates the
Cybersource patent.

ReD's Board retains its consistently stated belief that its operations do not
infringe any valid claims of the asserted patent.

Based on historical precedent, the re-examination process is anticipated to take between 18 months and two years to conclude. ReD will now be requesting a stay in the original court proceedings until after the result of the patent
re-examination is known. ReD has already provided for the costs it anticipates
incurring during the re-examination process.

overgrowth - 05 Jan 2005 19:59 - 1919 of 2406

Excellent news on the (alleged) patent infringement front guys.

RTD provided for the costs some time ago - if they could see superior results with those legal costs taken out, I reckon there's loads more upward mileage in the sp to come after this news :-))

scotinvestor - 05 Jan 2005 22:14 - 1920 of 2406

yeah, maybe we will get that 4p back that we lost in space of couple of hours way back a few months ago

overgrowth - 05 Jan 2005 23:33 - 1921 of 2406

It certainly clears the route to 40p before results...

parveen1 - 07 Jan 2005 10:31 - 1922 of 2406
