I'm back again, I did enjoy the Antiques Road Show. Nice one Hils.

hilary - 21 Nov 2004 19:36 - 19068 of 23498

Yum, yum. The roast pork was nice ............ once I'd figured out how long it needed in the microwave.

amberjane - 21 Nov 2004 19:49 - 19069 of 23498

That'll teach you to stick your head between the spindles.

Socrates - 21 Nov 2004 23:01 - 19071 of 23498

I like a nice bit of crackling Hilary.

STORMCALLER - 22 Nov 2004 00:04 - 19072 of 23498

Evening all,
Time for the wave goodbye to a dire week, in the hope that if I wish it well on it's way the b*stard won't come back! Bubbly (NV) of course, will keep the good stuff hidden, don't want to overdo the hospitality.
So begone! your path is clear before you, and may your replacement be more to my liking.

Spaceman - 22 Nov 2004 00:11 - 19073 of 23498

Evening all, being something of an anorak I thought I would catalogue my CD's, I am using software to do this and I just have to put each CD into my PC and make a few selections even so I have already spent 4 hours doing it, I have catalogued my CD's starting with A, B and L and that's 99 Cd's. I have no idea how many I have in total but just looking at them all on the table there must be about 700.

chocolat - 22 Nov 2004 00:21 - 19074 of 23498

...must be a record.

Spaceman - 22 Nov 2004 00:26 - 19075 of 23498

or 700...

MightyMicro - 22 Nov 2004 01:09 - 19076 of 23498

On last week's visit to California, my CFO and self managed to bring back four bottles of decidely vintage Mumm Napa sparkling stuff. I was mugged on return to the office by my co-directors and am now left with one splendid bottle of Mumm Napa "Winery Lake" (Carneros) vintage bubbly.

I plan to pop the cork on the occurrence of either my company's shares hitting a quid, or Christmas, whichever comes first.

MightyMicro - 22 Nov 2004 01:11 - 19077 of 23498

And Spaceman, that's not an anorak, looks more like a flying jacket to me ;-)

Spaceman - 22 Nov 2004 01:13 - 19078 of 23498

And as a true anorak, here is a link to A,B and L ;-)

http://www.flying.demon.co.uk/CDCAT/index.htm

Derek, how about making it either your companies shares hit a quid or they do not whichever comes first? That way you dont suffer so long ?!

STORMCALLER - 22 Nov 2004 01:15 - 19079 of 23498

Oops, sorry didn't realise there was anyone else in..
Anyway the point was made, that's me done.
Bye all

Tim: of course: the Concorde method as applied to wine drinking! Great thinking!

This_is_me - 22 Nov 2004 09:41 - 19081 of 23498

Back to peace and quiet after a weekend shopping for towel rails etc for the new bathroom. At least I managed to get 'she who thinks she should be obeyed' delighted with bits and pieces at a reasonable price. Then there was the deciding where exactly they should go. The bathroom now has a blue rash - Blu Tack blobs marking the various spots. I'll leave them there for a week to allow for her to change her mind a few times; I don't want to risk having to listen to "I wish we had put such and such over there instead of here" for the next 20 years.

Bacon and eggs and a large coffee please.

Golddog - 22 Nov 2004 11:55 - 19082 of 23498

Sorry for the delay! Bacon and eggs coming up Sir. You must be starving by now. And you leading the way with AHT! I'm not worthy!! oh master! and a mug of coffee was it.
