THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

i did not have any intrinsic objection to the election, but we received no pamphlets or anything else to tell us anything about any of the contestants and how each might differ from the other ..... had we done so, then i am sure we would have voted

My wife has just bought a Android Tablet and wants to download some films.
Would appreciate if anyone have any tips what sites to use and is it best to buy or rent the films.

cynic - 19 Nov 2012 20:07 - 19090 of 81564

why am i lazy?
why should i do their work for them when i have other things to occupy me?
if the candidates cannot be bothered to sell their wares, then inevitably i remain unaware of what they are selling .... even now i have no idea who won and if it will make the slightest difference to our local force

Stan - 19 Nov 2012 22:24 - 19091 of 81564

So not only lazy.. but disinterested as well.

Chris Carson - 20 Nov 2012 07:15 - 19095 of 81564

Stan - 20 Nov 2012 07:15 - 19096 of 81564

Gobshite/Gobshites :-

Slang - A stupid person.

This word was formerly considered to be taboo, and it was labelled as such in previous editions of Collins English Dictionary. However, it has now become acceptable speech, although some older or more conservative people may object to its use.

(Commonly heard among some sections of Evertonians when referring to Liverpool supporters :O)....)

Stan - 20 Nov 2012 08:32 - 19101 of 81564

Bit of cross posting going on this morning CC, but thanks for your definition as well.. especially the last bit -):

Chris Carson - 20 Nov 2012 08:43 - 19102 of 81564

My pleasure Stan, further to the last bit re - Liverpool supporters, mostly aimed at 'Kopites' the remainder of Evertonians consider Liverpool fans as just 'Twats' :O)

skinny - 20 Nov 2012 08:46 - 19103 of 81564
