What we have here is the birth of rules. Last week's game has finished and should not be effected retropectively by todays decision on dividends. This week, I'm asking for the dividend to be paid on a share that I bought with this in mind. In truth, I would not have picked HBOS as a long if it were not about to go ex dividend on Wednesday. I've already one huge gamble in the shape of a LLOY long and would not in all honesty pick HBOS and a companion to it.

edit: Oh dear! I seemed to have hit a 'nana skin - down from 6th to 13th on the leader board - Ug.

Hilary, It's not a one off payment to my team mate! From now on anyone who is long on a stock that encounters a div payment can request it's payment on that day issued.
