rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

have just encashed nice FTSE profit and ditto for some of my DOW long
level has fallen a little below the 6150 support/resistance and DOW may also be slightly o'cooked ...... shall wait and watch

The DOW was short lived ,FTSE holding up though ..

let's put it this way ...... you have arguably missed an entry point at 17,600, but the market is clearly in a mood to catch its breath

i very much doubt that DOW will close positive, but interesting to note that FTSE has remained comparatively firm

that more than wipes out yesterday's gain on wall street, and the pain will be felt in london tomorrow

looks like no support immediately in sight for dow, and ftse will do well to hold its nerve

Top up day then tomorrow by the looks.

Everything has been kicked back down overnight , could be a good time to go long .

nimble fingers day and staying fully alert will be the order of the day i think
that said, there could be some hefty bear closing over the pond as the day draws to a close
