rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

Yeah could be right but Dow still on the decline so you never know.

17,300 should have been a significant support, but it is now beginning to form a resistance

indeed, dow is now down to about 17,260 and all looking very nasty

17,170 is the next stop, but of late, they have all been pretty meaningless

jimmy - well you can now ..... dow finished at 17,120 down goodness knows how much (370 it seems), and cash ftse just below 6,000

I did get in just above there ,i'm also running one FTSE long at a loss from last week so a mixed bag for me at the moment .
