Tony

I read few threads on ADVFN and post even less, the personal abuse just doesn't make it worthwhile. If you are positive on a stock, you are a ramper, if negative, a basher. There are usually some good posts over there, but you have to wade through 100s of total dross to find them.

aldwickk - 20 Aug 2006 13:16 - 19181 of 27111

Alan ,

My point was, anyone who watches their investment go from 30p to 4p and now goes on about our much reseach and digging they have done not to mention their contacts, people on this thread should ask themselves why they didn't do a bit of reseach before these shares fell to 4p, Andy i thing sold at 22p and warned people of lack of firm orders and no cash flow as did a few others and still they didn't sell their shares .

rmhyams - 20 Aug 2006 13:54 - 19182 of 27111

The reason why people didn't sell can be found by reviewing the RNSs that the Company was putting out at the time. Since Martin Wagner took over as CEO towards the end of 2005 the very bullish RNSs have stopped and the Company have been quietly going about their business to commercialise their IP. Unfortunately for the share price the change in stance regarding RNSs has meant that the market has, rightly or wrongly - time will tell - taken the view that the Company is likely to fail. In the imterim results cash flow has increased substantially in % terms, but the market hasn't reacted accordingly.

Kind regards

ptholden,

'When you make a statement that your investment is led by your heart rather than your head then you have lost all objectivity'

With all due respect, you have been accused by another poster of 'distorting the situation.' and I think you are still guilty of that - or you are confused. I didnt say my investment is LED my my heart.

What I actually said was There has been some real research going on behind the scenes some of the results of that research have come my way and convinced me that SEO are going placesMost of us still in have not remained so because our heads tell us this is right, we're still in because we know in our hearts it is right .

Ive already stated that Ive looked at this objectively, probably with more knowledge of what is going on than you. Objectively this looks good.

But you sometimes get a gut instinct about something and I dont think Im alone in getting it in relation to SEO. Thats what I mean about my heart knowing it is right.

A mixture of objectivity and gut feeling is a powerful guide.

zscrooge - 20 Aug 2006 16:18 - 19184 of 27111

Presumably people are unconcerned about share issues and cash burn because they have obtained information about a contract. If so, they or whoever told them about it are guillty of insider trading.

ptholden - 20 Aug 2006 16:31 - 19185 of 27111

oblo

Don't think i have been accused by anyone of distorting the situation? Rather misleading of you to post as such don't you think? Comments as the 'next Microsoft' are hardly objective I'm afraid. You see I really do have a problem with that sort of comment, much in the same way as I do when people post 3p tomorrow without substantive reasoning. You have posted nothing to substantiate why SEO is now a good buy, citing your own research etc etc which you are unwilling to share with other holders. I have made it clear why I am bearish on SEO and fear for their future. So who is posting objectively?

andysmith - 20 Aug 2006 16:57 - 19186 of 27111

Oblo, I say 3p because funding is needed and will no doubt be at a discount and possibly with 20% dilution if they are to raise enough to last a year to bring any projects to fruition. On DYOR comments, its not just important before BUYING but also after that and nothing wrong with changing your strategy accordingly.
This is not your family or football team that you stick with no matter what.
I wish SEO had fulfilled my ambition of 50p and beyond or I had sold at 30p but it didn't happen. For what its worth, if they raise a years cash then I actually think they'll come through it and finally deliver something with Starpol and Wrap.

oblomov - 20 Aug 2006 17:19 - 19187 of 27111

ptholden,

I believe you were accused of it by another poster, but dont have the time or inclination to locate it. I can locate your own reference to it:-
ptholden - 19 Aug 2006 23:37 - 19149 of 19186
Don't think anyone on this thread is 'distorting the situation.' .

You seem to be arguing now for the sake of it and nit-picking my every comment.

I've made my position clear, I'm not in a position to say more and all I have said is basically that I am happy with the situation regarding SEO as I understand it and I expect to see a very good return on my investment. I dont have to justify my comments to you and have made it very clear that this is my OPINION based on my knowledge and that no-one should consider basing any trade on my opinion.

If you read back through the thread you will find that I have posted reasons why SEO is IN MY OPINION a good buy. I'm not going to repeat that, you'll have to read back through the thread if you're interested.

I dont see that any further dialogue between us is in the interests of this BB.

ptholden - 20 Aug 2006 17:32 - 19188 of 27111

Ah, that will be because I have a negative view rather than a positive one then? Always thought that was the role of a BB, sharing of research, objective discussions, even the odd argument within the bounds of decent behaviour. Next Microsoft? Sorry, PM1 ramp springs to mind.

oblomov - 20 Aug 2006 17:47 - 19189 of 27111

andysmith,

I respect your point of view but feel you might have it wrong. On the question of funding, the amount needed will depend very much on how close SEO are to increasing their income. You've assumed a years funding is needed. They may not need a years funding.

Likewise, if things are close to happening they may not need to offer a discount. They may, for example, have further letters of intent up their sleeves.

As I see it, and I realise you view this differently, once Greenseal begins to roll out in earnest the income stream will rise dramatically and rapidly. One announcement of a substantial (in the tens?) number of commercial conversions would see the SP leap because the market will then return to the expectation that there could ultimately be thousands of conversions. This could happen at any time. We may not see 3p and 4p could as easily be the buying opportunity.

oblomov - 20 Aug 2006 18:03 - 19190 of 27111

ptholden,

You are being silly now, and not listening. If you'd read this thread over the past year you'd know I've been accused at various times of bashing and being negative myself. Look at some of my posts from about a month ago, I wasn't very positive then.

I'm positive now because I know things I didn't know a month ago. I'm happy to discuss anything with anyone anytime, but when the discussion begins to go round in circles and, as I'm sure it is, piss off other posters, I think it time for the discussion to end. So lets agree to disagree and drop it.

pinnacle - 20 Aug 2006 18:27 - 19191 of 27111

As a significant shareholder in Stanelco, I would welcome any information on a confidential basis that would increase my knowledge and calm my nerves!

The older we get the more the nerves creep in and sometimes doubt.

So: usi@hemscott.net is the email address for anything that would help.

All I want is for us all to succeed - there is enough trouble out there without creating it - in my opinion.

ptholden - 20 Aug 2006 18:31 - 19192 of 27111

Oblo

Thought you were not talking to me? :-))

I'll make my own position perfectly clear:

I believe in Greenseal, Starpol etc.
SEO could be a very successful company if managed correctly and in a business like fashion.
If this statement is true. 'I'm happy to discuss anything with anyone anytime' then please do, rather than hiding behind ambiguity. Without doing so you leave your self wide open to accusations of ramp. Feel free to enlighten me and other posters with your recent found knowledge. Afterall that's why we all read and post.
I do think the SP has further to fall, dependant on how the very crucial working capital is financed.
I do not believe we will see a rocket like performance in the SP, even if deals are signed. The next set of Results are going to be dire, it will be these that dictate the future SP, the 'fizz', 'hype', 'BB darling' status has come and gone.
I detest in equal measure, rampers and bashers. Post a positive or negative view backed up by objective reason by all means but without that reason, you are either the former or the latter.

aldwickk - 20 Aug 2006 18:34 - 19193 of 27111

I wonder if you have to be a Freemason to get this confidential information ?

automatic - 20 Aug 2006 19:01 - 19194 of 27111

aldwickk you would love to know what this imformation is , BUT NOBODY'S GOING TO TELL YOU, LOL

zscrooge - 20 Aug 2006 19:31 - 19195 of 27111

The only information that will change the picture here is contracts. And if you know that, you are guilty of insider trading. I assume the 'info' is akin to Stanelco being on 'the cusp.' Public equity funding because the instis don't want to know. For a potential investor the odds are simple; believe bb secret info or the evidence of the past year and a half of dismal mickey mouse management. Those hanging on from the dizzy heights of mid 20s will presumably hang on for dear life now anyway.

WOODIE - 20 Aug 2006 19:34 - 19196 of 27111

the share price says no information of good news has been leaked.

hewittalan6 - 20 Aug 2006 19:41 - 19197 of 27111

I, for one, know of no firm contracts. I wish I did, it would make me even happier. I can also say, hand on heart, that no-one I have spoken to knows of a single signed contract, and if there were one, then there would be an RNS on it. So reat easy zscrooge, Aldwickk and pinnacle. As far as I am aware, ther eis no contract. I am desperate for someone to prove me wrong though.
BTW Aldwickk. I will happily admit to an error of judgement in staying in on SEO while the price fell. i aint perfect, and I don't pretend to be. The bulk of my earlier research was RNS driven and not followed through properly. I have paid the price. I was about to get out when I spoke to my imagianry friend and he told me a few truisms about getting anything onto the floor at Asda and it made me think again. This sparked my second bout of research, which persuaded me to stay in. I may well be wrong again, and for that i will blame none but myself.
I'm big enough and ugly enough to take it on the chin, and admit when I am wrong. I still think the day will come when it will be otehrs admitting they were wrong (fat chance).

WOODIE - 20 Aug 2006 20:16 - 19198 of 27111

Alan we have all held onto shares longer then we should have done

Cantlose - 20 Aug 2006 20:40 - 19199 of 27111

Interesting times

Hold ,Sell or Buy?

As someone who bought a while ago I will hold.

The reasons I bought a year ago still hold today. In fact you could argue that the situation is much improved with Starpol & Wrap added to the portfolio & attaining FDA status.

The only down side at the moment is lack of sales(but this could rapidly change).

As I have mentioned a number of times(in the past), for me this was always a long term (3 -5 year) play. You just don't come up with revolutionary changes to the packaging paradigm in a year (and get the big players onboard).

Previous management has been guilty of overegging the pudding & this led to the bubble in the SP & its deflation over the last year with a lack of orders.

If you cant afford to lose the money you should not invest short term in shares - especially ones like this.

It comes down to risk/reward.

If I were brave I would consider the current SP to be an excellent entry price.

However I shall wait to see if Cash flow becomes positive in the next 3 months before adding again.

Would love to know what has convinced Alan6,Oily & Oblomov of the future prospects.

Oblov in the past used to be quite a cynic so it must either be

a)Very good news

or

b) Damn good bluff to try & force up the SP

Keep the faith

SEO will reward all long term holders
