VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

RNS out this morning .Piece by piece this jigsaw is fitting together. This new guy certainly seems to know his marbles plus he has already had extensive expierience working in our stomping ground in Arizona. Sound good to me . l shall have to ponder a while and look at his past. But he has been accredited with some nice finds. And with such a dearth of geologists in this field hopefully the old adage of those geolists who find and turn one prospect into a producing mine tend to do it again and again will ring true. ..........VML up 1p first thing ...24/25p spread.........@+ J

Positive news first thing. VML getting in before the other players. Shortage of top pros in mining at the moment......

VANE Minerals Plc

('the Company')

Appointment of Uranium Exploration Manager

VANE Minerals Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Bain as
Exploration Manager of its wholly owned uranium subsidiary, VANE Minerals (US)
LLC.

Mr. Bain brings to the Company a high level of relevant expertise in uranium
exploration, having worked as an exploration geologist with Kerr McGee Minerals
in Wyoming and also with Energy Reserves Group specifically on uranium breccia
pipes in northern Arizona. Most recently, Mr. Bain was Field Office Geologist
for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and so also brings invaluable experience
in U.S. permitting procedures.

Following the decline in uranium prices in the 1980's, Mr. Bain entered base and
precious metals exploration with Asarco, a major copper miner in the US, and
managed projects including the San Manuel Project. As a consulting geologist, he
also managed projects for BHP Billiton, Phelps Dodge Mining, TVX Gold and
Pegasus Gold.

Mr. Bain holds B.Sc. degrees in both Geology and Land Management and has 30
years professional experience in the industry. He is also a Registered
Professional Geologist in the State of Wyoming.

Matthew Idiens, Director of Corporate Development commented: 'We welcome Frank
as Exploration Manager to VANE's uranium team. As we are all aware, there is a
dramatic skills shortage in the mining industry internationally, but
particularly in uranium given that the industry entered a major downturn in the
1980's. It is therefore of great benefit to VANE to gain a geologist with
Frank's level of uranium exploration expertise to strengthen our existing pool
of uranium knowledge, particularly with regards to the specialised areas of both
breccia pipes and stratabound deposits.'

Tend to agree fliper and if we see this moving as sharply back as the fall we'll have a deep inverted head and shoulders in place calling for higher levels following the jitters. Patience!

I don't think it was an Oscar Wilde saying though Aldwickk

again .... well called Di ... am back in full circulation again to annoy you all .... lol!

Dynamite - 15 May 2007 08:42 - 1937 of 2220

Cynic I wish I could call it as well everytime but a favourite game of mine is to watch a handful of stocks which I think have super potential and buy on their way up and try to pick the topish and sell. Then wait for the next move up again...this has worked with VML (once so far) GFM (4 times) NOP(4 times) SEO (twice) PDX(6 times)GOO (once)HYR(twice)OXB (3 times)ZOO(3 times)etc...I usually aim to double my money at least.
I have failed with quite a few too CHP, YOO, SUB and NML but other than NML I haven't lost much in comparison.
A few weeks ago I thought OXN might join my stable but after making 10% in a week I was spooked out when all the MM's dropped price together. Now its delisted. In my mind VML could easily be another GFM or KMR.
I hope the golf was good.
