Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Spooky - the only way to display page is with ALL advert/IP blockers switched off. Otherwise exactly the same "No Object" script error appears.
Now Bully would say "not our problem" as he wants ads everywhere, but us chaps on the other side of the fence don't like that. So script errors caused by agressive advert code is going to stop folks going to the page n'est-ce pas?

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 11:40 - 1927 of 7315

BrianTrayda,

I just spoke with GRAEME.ALEXANDER who said he was no longer getting the script debug errors when loading the pages (I changed something in the advert server to fix this)

Are you *still* getting that error?

BrianTrayda - 16 Apr 2004 11:46 - 1928 of 7315

I'll need to reboot to negate any potential caching.... back in a mo. In the interim you could have a look at the script bit around "adserv1" and "tracking" http calls for a null object as that is what they'll get on my main PC.

cronky - 16 Apr 2004 11:56 - 1929 of 7315

TullettJ - Haven't tried rebooting but errors I'm still getting are Line 214 Char 4 Line 217 Char 4 Line 220 Char 4 Line 252 Char 10 Hope it helps.

cronky,

Jonathan is working on a fix as we speak which should be implemented shortly - thanks for the info.

Ian

It's not ADSERV1 or TRACKING (process of elimination)...
Not Google Popup Blocker
Not PestPatrol.

We wait..... :-)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 12:02 - 1932 of 7315

ive removed the bloody things.

(I can hear you cheering BrianTrayda)

ill be working on a fix offline, apologies for the annoyance this morning, it all was working nicely on my machines here and on our staging system.

J.

Enhancement request for % gainers and losers ...

How about selective filtering by share price or similiar?
eg. excluding AIM or only for FTSE350 or only for shares with share price > 100p
etc

Thanks

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 12:23 - 1935 of 7315

axdpc,

Thanks for the feedback.

Ian

This was pointed out a little earlier and I have forwarded onto Jonathan - thanks for letting us know though.

Ian

BrianTrayda - 16 Apr 2004 12:39 - 1938 of 7315

Spooky, you missed one. Line 249 : oasisAdvert(27,445,18);

axdpc - 16 Apr 2004 12:43 - 1939 of 7315

Ian, thanks 1934 and thanks 1936 :-)

Have you ever visited the Tea and Coffee museum near you?
Is it worth a visit?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 12:49 - 1940 of 7315

axdpc,

Can't say that I have visited, far too busy here :)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 12:50 - 1941 of 7315

BrianTrayda,

that one has been there since day one and is nothing to do with me.

is it causing problems?

Bullshare - 16 Apr 2004 12:57 - 1942 of 7315

axdpc; custom market scan already has this

axdpc - 16 Apr 2004 12:58 - 1943 of 7315

J, catches me out every time! No great problem but just time wasted.
Probably better, temporarily, to remove/blankout the features which do not work.
Other wise they tarnish all the other features which works smoothly.
All IMHO.

BrianTrayda - 16 Apr 2004 12:58 - 1944 of 7315

Spook: yep - the other error lines have gone, but that one remains. It's calling the same stuff as the ones you removed isn't it?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Apr 2004 12:59 - 1945 of 7315

BT,

He is looking into this as we speak.
