I've had umpteen quotes up today and every time I've backed away from pressing the button. I can't explain why .......... just not really comfortable, I suppose.
Instinct tells me to sell the break of the rising support line of the GBP and EUR against the USD. But on a Friday lunchtime at the end of what's been a very good week????? Think I'll come back on Monday and see what it looks like then.

made a bit this week on stocks, dont want to give it back now on forex,

Beeb,
I might be tempted to trade in about half an hour.
Btw, I never have a problem sleeping at night.

Well, my stops got taken out at 1.8390. Looks like a lot of profit-taking in the US session on a Friday afternoon.

That's a high formed overnight on the Asian markets on the GBP/ & EUR/USD crosses. It enables a nice 2-day resistance line to act as a stop for shorts.
Cable just needs to move below Friday's low and you'll be able to turn the lights out for a few hours.

Spaceman,
Broken the 2-day downtrend, but it might be ranging. 1.8289 was the overnight high.

EUR's broken. GBP should follow. Candy and babies or is that tempting fate?

Spaceman,
It's the stops being triggered that moves it so fast on the break.

Beeb,
I don't know what oscillators you use, but if you try something like 55 periods (nice Fibo number) on the 5-minute chart, it looks to have the Va Va Voom to take out the top of the range.

looks as though it gave up, looking at 8230 for support and possible buy.

I luv it when you talk dirty Hilary,.........oh sorry, oscillators
I usually have a 5 min chart up, but not too good 'techy' wise - could do with some lessons really. If we get back to 182.10, i will have a look at going long,
but pleased i found the small top just now - wish i'd traded it , but...

Well done on finding that little top, Beeb. My money's staying on the long tack for now. Diving in and out for a few pips here and a few pips there isn't really my style ....... I'm looking for a big move that I can stay in for typically 2 or 3 days and pyramid.
