jj50 - 25 Nov 2004 11:36 - 19335 of 23498

Morning all. Strong coffee and are there any Danish left - in desperate need of reviving this morning.

What looked like a small pool of water in my garage has turned out to be an inch of water floating under the whole of my house:-(
Now have holes cut in every room and huge machinery blowing air through and could be that way for months. Time to move out I think! Oh ... and insurers, don't start me on them!!

Looks like I have a lot of catching up to on those so called "celebs"... Janet looks younger than she did 20 years ago! Male celebs nothing to shout about :-)

This_is_me - 25 Nov 2004 11:40 - 19336 of 23498

The good news: the dentist didn't charge me, the better still news: she didn't use the pliers, the bad news: she probably will in the forseeable future.

No Bunny I don't check the coins with my teeth - I give the dodgy ones to the children for their pocket money!

I'll have a double Red Bull and something soft to eat please. (No rock cakes!)

optomistic - 25 Nov 2004 11:43 - 19337 of 23498

Do you live close to a distillery jj? could be a whisky overflow. Have two danish :-)

stockbunny - 25 Nov 2004 11:44 - 19338 of 23498

Oh JJ - I am sorry, will you be able to live on site or can you
organise temp. accom. somewhere quickly? Where on earth has the water
come from? Good luck with it, total sympathy with you especially at
this time of year, why don't these things ever happen in the summer?

Better keep you off the 'hard stuff' then T-I-M for a while!
That Red Bull will rot your teeth!

jj50 - 25 Nov 2004 11:49 - 19339 of 23498

Thank you bunny - did reach for the Gin last night! They think it connected to washing machine and council turning up water pressure when mains renewed! Can't really move out - everyone coming to me for Xmas!!!! Upstairs is OK - you get used to the vibration :-)

opto - no definitely not whisky, at least it is clean water!! Appreciate the extra danish though.

TIM - I thought the dentists engineered it that way to get business but sounds like yours is a gem.. bunny is right about the Red Bull though, water from now on:-(

stockbunny - 25 Nov 2004 11:54 - 19340 of 23498

I suppose that's better then it being due to an underground spring
or the local waste pipes leaking or something like that....
But still not ideal - ears crossed that they get it sorted before Xmas
for you. :>)
I hope they aren't running those machines 24 hrs a day off your electric?

optomistic - 25 Nov 2004 11:55 - 19341 of 23498

Did the water come out of the washing machine jj? At least if the fault is man made it can be corrected. Thank goodnes it's not a natural spring that has been diverted your way!!

optomistic - 25 Nov 2004 11:56 - 19342 of 23498

Thinking the same way Bunny :-)
