I suppose that's better then it being due to an underground spring
or the local waste pipes leaking or something like that....
But still not ideal - ears crossed that they get it sorted before Xmas
for you. :>)
I hope they aren't running those machines 24 hrs a day off your electric?

Did the water come out of the washing machine jj? At least if the fault is man made it can be corrected. Thank goodnes it's not a natural spring that has been diverted your way!!

jj, try and see this as a potential business opportunity. For example, an exclusive fishing trip for girlies. We can sit on the sofa, (glass of wine in hand), keep warm AND catch fish without getting our hair messed up.
(Said by someone who took a group 'fishing' in the Highlands a couple of years ago. It was a beginners course where they teach with bits of sheep wool instead of bait until you've got the hang of casting. I wasn't paying attention to the instructions and caste off and caught a small brown trout ...with the sheep wool! I was meant to be practising casting on the loch side. I've since learned 'brownies' are pretty stupid so they should be up for the business suggestion above!)

The problem wasn't the washing machine, it was the watering system for growing 'weed' under the floorboards.

Well done Priscilla! Our hero, baby saver :-) You can sit there, feet up and I shall pour you a glass - not so sure about the prune dish! If you are bored,
you can come fishing at my place!
Water is under all the rooms (endoscope put down to ascertain!!!!). So
6 months of 5 machines using 1kw and hour, 24 hours a day, will cost a
bit on the electricity front - shall ask loss adjuster about that :-(
Wooden floors but a concrete solum (??!!) underneath which is why
water doesn't just drain away. As you say, at least it is not
a spring so problem will be sorted out eventually. Lucky really...:-)
Oh and got divorced today too.

Norton anti-virus can be upgraded on screen. REALLY SIMPLE. I did it and nothing has gone wrong in the last ten months.

Priscilla - that was my plan. I just wondered whether to take the option of renewing sub 17 for existing package or pay the 29 for the enhanced option. Any advice?
