Fred1new - 15 Dec 2005 09:28 - 203 of 1427

Hope you got home OK. Pleasant evening . Some advantages to alocohol free dining. At least if you get lost your sober. Talking about BRW last night found I had been stopped out with profit of 50%.

Stan - 15 Dec 2005 10:13 - 204 of 1427

Home safe and sound thanks Fred,

50% profit "banked", now thats what I like to here.......can't beat It.

As was said (restaurant without license gives us options) maybe a good format for future meets Instead of pub.

1st Balti most pleasant, mind you a bit pricey at 32.............. 10 quid each including sweet

Last of the big spenders?... you bet -:)

Kivver - 15 Dec 2005 10:16 - 205 of 1427

where did go for your balti men??? and was it nice. Forgot to mention they are nearly all ''take your own''

Stan - 15 Dec 2005 10:43 - 206 of 1427

It was called the "Plaza" Kivv and we were the only one's In there at 1st ( and only 1 couple when we left) we chose that one because the other two had no menu In the window and we couldn't be bothered to go Inside and ask.

I thought the food was good, and the waiter was slightly" Basil Faulty" which added to the night.

Overall I thought It was good value and enjoyed the evening, also there Is a good little parking bay (room for about 20 cars right on the street) so good for security on the night.

If your free next month how about joining us? I'm going to check the public transport situation for options.

55011 - 15 Dec 2005 11:22 - 207 of 1427

Yes, we'll need to bring our own booze and maybe a 2kw heater if it's a chilly night!

Stan - 15 Dec 2005 11:27 - 208 of 1427

....Well there Is that of course -:)

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2006 15:16 - 209 of 1427

Happy NEW YEAR R R R r .

Any thoughts about next meeting at the Anchor etc. My daughter is being admitted for surgery on 6/1/2006 but should be OK for a meet about a week ten days after that. (I am not doing the chopping)

Think we could try a little more exchange of "dealing" methods or views. Fed up with Stan getting all the ACES.

Regards.

Fred1new - 05 Jan 2006 16:16 - 210 of 1427

Can anyone remember what that chap was saying about AMT when we were in the Anchor a few weeks ago?

Fred1new - 11 Jan 2006 20:47 - 211 of 1427

Stan and 55011, Back from the smoke. Daughter's op. seems successful. With her and her three others sisters healthy again, I need an op., or a pint at the Anchor.

Any ideas about when?

55011 - 12 Jan 2006 11:10 - 212 of 1427

Happy New Year, Fred, even if it is a bit belated.

Glad to hear that the op seems to have gone OK. These things are not without risk, or so they always tell us........................

No travel plans fixed yet, still "recovering" from the excesses of Christmas. Just pottering about doing bits and pieces, and tasks put aside for "rainy days", (oh and watching L2 for the last few days). It's still on offer, if you are quick, and it gets round L1 being contended too. Now the price has dropped it is tempting, but there is still a hefty mark up on what the LSE charges. Maybe a generous broker will start to offer it..........

So, any time for the Anchor as far as I am concerned.

Not seen anything of Stan of late. Hope he is OK. Perhaps he is in hiding with all his profit making? Or in Switzerland.....?

Fred1new - 12 Jan 2006 16:59 - 213 of 1427

How about Tuesday 24th Jan 4.30pm at the Anchor?
Would consider a Chineese or curry afterwards.

If Stan doesn't surface I will E-mail him.
