Tim

How long did the average cruisers take to get to Hobart?

Socrates - 25 Nov 2004 22:43 - 19469 of 23498

Opto
It comes highly recommended but I can't afford to stay there. Apparently the service is second to none. None of this kettle and teabags in your room, fresh tea served when you ask for it.

Spaceman - 25 Nov 2004 22:44 - 19470 of 23498

Hang on I will check.

Sputnik - 25 Nov 2004 22:46 - 19471 of 23498

Choccie are the two yachts from the N/W

I'll go to the web site and check their progress

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 22:46 - 19472 of 23498

Soz, jj - that other piccie was another friend's boat in the regatta - needless to say, they won - I think the clue might be in the little white blobby bits way in the background...

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 22:48 - 19473 of 23498

The Marylin is owned by a French geezer. You can see who the owners are on the site - the Anouk is a 58' Swan - I flew back from Turkey last week with a guy who was going to crew on it.

jj50 - 25 Nov 2004 22:49 - 19474 of 23498

I didn't know there was a picture of me in the background, choccie :-)

Spaceman - 25 Nov 2004 22:49 - 19475 of 23498

Colin, checked but I didnt keep good records, we flew down on 27/12 and I am pretty sure the winners came in that afternoon. We stayed in hobart for the next 3 days or so and there were boats coming in all the time. It was fun there.

Spaceman - 25 Nov 2004 22:50 - 19476 of 23498

It was 2002/3 not 2003/4 that we went.

Spaceman - 25 Nov 2004 22:50 - 19477 of 23498

By winners I meant the first boats into Hobart not the overall winners !

Sputnik - 25 Nov 2004 22:51 - 19478 of 23498

Thanks Tim

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 22:51 - 19479 of 23498

How're you doing, jj? Any bubbles left?
Just got to pop out and do a taxi thingie.

jj50 - 25 Nov 2004 22:53 - 19480 of 23498

No, need to open another bottle. Where's Stormie when you need him!

All this talk of water and boats - too much for me at the moment.

jj50 - 25 Nov 2004 22:54 - 19481 of 23498

Maybe I need to do a taxi thingie too:-))

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 23:09 - 19482 of 23498

I'm back..
Time to open the biggie then.

jj - you still upright?

amberjane - 25 Nov 2004 23:22 - 19483 of 23498

Evening girls, that's if any of you are still standing?

Jen, congrats on today from the sorted point of view...know what i mean! Time to think of that freedom celebration for real but in meantime will share this biggie then.

Spaceman - 25 Nov 2004 23:32 - 19484 of 23498

Night all its bed time for me, have fun see you soon.

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 23:33 - 19485 of 23498

Night Spacie - hi amberj ;)

amberjane - 25 Nov 2004 23:36 - 19486 of 23498

Evening Choccy see you got the piccy sorted but wanna see who you were with this year!

chocolat - 25 Nov 2004 23:41 - 19487 of 23498

It was the same boat, amberj, better crew ;)

Wow, just looked up the ARC positions - Marylin was 83 yesterday, today 58, and Anouk was 45, now 34 - and that's out of 190.
