The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

Another bidder pulls the plug, it loooks like the SP will now take a dip in the short term. The results need to be good or it could go back to 50p !
Any one got any thoughts ??

no way pumben.
have u researched anything.....no by sounds of it.
the company that pulled out is by barry muncastar....he is a c???....ex bprg.
he tried buying at silly price and got told where to go.....not sure why he timed the rns mind you on fri.
i suppose meldex might have to tell market what the price he ofered.
true value has been given for meldex at 146p but chairman has it at 176p i think.
however with their products gaining momentum, the longer this takes for takeover the better as it increases value....and will save GSK or whoever billions in set up as meldex has lots of products.
this will be 2 plus.....it just depends on timescale

Scot Investor, thanks for your comments. Yes, i agree the timing of the rns was interesting and I was wonderring why they didn't wait until this morning. Nonetheless, lets wait and see this week, year brings !

I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Aquisitek were out of the running for Meldex weeks ago and I also understood no tears were shed.

Can somebody tell me why mdx have dropped so dramatically on the news that Aquisitek were out of the running. Good news for the company I would have thought, and good news for me. The stock is so cheap my whole portfolio is on. I cannot believe anybody would consider a sell. Still thanks to them all. It will give me another big payday in a company that is rock solid. As an ex. Bookmaker I would lay longgggggg odds on, for a rapid 25% correction. I have been in and out of the stock since it was 27p and it has been lucky for me, but this looks like the best chance to date. The delayed prelim. results are hinted to be good. Some of you lads that are far more knowledgeable than me might have a better handle on the situation. This stock is crazy!!!

no way halifax!!!
it was 54p before talk of takeover......also stock market has risen by 700 points since back then in jan.
and products are gaining each week......but we dont har about this anymore cos of this takeover talk.
as i said before, within 6-12 months with takeover this will be 2 to 2.50 pounds.
without takeover and mdx going it alone....after say 3-4 years, it will be plus 4 pounds.
i cant understand why news has dropped price.....we almost guessed asquisitek were playing games months ago. the only thing was that rns was given at 4pm which was bad timing....should have been 4.35pm to digest news.

I think your very optomistic scot. A company that isn't making any profits as yet your placing a value in excess of 450m in 6 months time. lol

also, the value is in the FUTURE not in past....and takeover value will save billions from the company that puts a bid in

I hope to be pleasantly surprised when we get their results in a couple of weeks, however they have not been forthright cocerning a possible bid which has led to uncertainty since January. The directors should come clean and not leave sharehoders "dangling".

mdx have said nothing...........nothing to do with being forthright.
the longer the wait the better i believe as value of mdx products gains.
mdx aint left me dangling......if u want to trade or you need your money then dont buy mdx......doh.
its just that barry muncaster.....you know....the unscrupulous git that was once ex bprg
anyway, another year holding doesnt bother me

Last statement would worry me if I were holding. "Strategic options" are rarely evaluated when things are hunky dory in my experience and the share price would be a lot higher than this if a takeover of 110p+ were in the offing imo.

I have studied the latest rns with the previous ones whre MDX had rejected the offer, I see very little which is different between the rns but yet this time the drop has been quite drastic even though the buys have been greatrer than the sells all of this week. I'm trying to guage why this has taken such a drop, is it:
a) Investors believe they are being strung along by MDX
b) is it becase Aqitek couldn't clarify the finances then could that be a similar story for the remaining bidders
c) MM dropping to get the stock cheaper before the results
d) The forthcoming results are not going to be as good as originally expected
Looking at the rollout of their products you would think that the sp should be in the late 70's even without the bid
Any thoughts ??

Lack of confidence in a management team that is not clear about its future direction is always a big turn off for investors. I think all of the uncertainty is putting people off.
I am no longer a holder (sold over a year ago and took my profits) - but thought this company still had reasonably good prospects.
If you think the fundamentals are still good - maybe now would be an opportune time to buy - I am certainly having another look but need to do a bit more research

I read these comments every day and thank god Scot investor understands a winner and is a proper punter, the others could be dealt a royal flush and play it as a flush. The truth is mdx are in the strongest position I have seen them in and although they are down nine of the last ten trading days on old news the buy/sell volumn from advfn looks like a jackanory to the price. We will see who is middle of the road, and who bought chirpy cheap cheap!!! daveknowsbest, now he dont, fred once new, dil must be short of dough, and halifax dont know what to write down. Scot i'm with you the others have not got a scubby doo!!!
