Spaceman - 26 Nov 2004 17:06 - 19570 of 23498

Evening all, Any chance of some lemon Drizzle I am starving, bet I have missed it again.

Lamby just came in and said he had ate my slice because I blamed him for something?

Spend the day removing gravel from the roof and washing it, I am in a bit of trouble for bringing mud into the house and for wiping my hands on the towel when they were muddy.

Day off tomorrow but working on Sunday, which is my birthday.

Socrates - 26 Nov 2004 17:37 - 19571 of 23498

Once upon a time, a young lady that I knew invited me to her home saying she would give me something warm and moist. I cannot describe my disappointment when I found it was a chunk of lemon drizzle cake.

Someone mentioned shingles. My sympathy if any one gets a dose of shingles, most painful and you never get rid of it once you have it. It's always lurking in the background waiting to bite again.

Spaceman - 26 Nov 2004 18:02 - 19572 of 23498

Socrates, I would have been delighted with the lemon drizzle cake, not sure what else you were expecting ;-)

Socrates - 26 Nov 2004 18:04 - 19573 of 23498

Spaceman
It could have been sherry trifle?

Spaceman - 26 Nov 2004 18:07 - 19574 of 23498

warm sherry trifle? no thanks ;-)

PS I love the word "moist", I think I will award it the honour of most favoured word. Anyone else got a favourite word?

Lambykins - 26 Nov 2004 18:14 - 19575 of 23498

I have got two favoritre words, the first one is "grass" and the second one is "grass" the other one is "grass" and I also like "Minkowski spacetime" but I dont know what it means.

Socrates - 26 Nov 2004 18:53 - 19576 of 23498

There is nothing wrong with warm sherry trifle, not to mention my favourite word, paralipsis!

LOL

chocolat - 26 Nov 2004 19:26 - 19577 of 23498

I quite like twattle.

This_is_me - 26 Nov 2004 20:23 - 19578 of 23498

Lemon drizzle? What part of the world do you lot live in? We only get cold wet tasteless drizzle, unles you count the drips out of the shower drain when the wife uses her lemon shampoo.

I have arranged for a workie to come tomorrow morning 'first thing' i.e. 8:00am, to dig up the bathroom floor. 'She who thinks she should be obeyed' doesn't want kango hammers at 8:00am on a Saturday morning, but she still wants to be able to use the shower by 9:30 before going out!!!

If women would just stick to sex, cooking and cleaning the world would be a better place!

Big Al - 26 Nov 2004 20:49 - 19579 of 23498

Evening all.

Could do with just a nice large Armagnac by the fire, eyes closed listening to it crackle gently away. Hectic week.

Not sure about this drizzle cake, but I'm not much of a sweet tooth.

Socrates - 26 Nov 2004 20:56 - 19580 of 23498

Big Al
I have a sweet tooth too. But I fancy a big chunk of lemon drizzle cake soaked in Armagnac and made into s sherry trifle.

I am also devastated that I spelled my favourite word incorrectly, I have corrected it.

chocolat - 26 Nov 2004 21:10 - 19581 of 23498

I'll join you BigA - opto thoughtfully left us a bottle near the fire.

Big Al - 26 Nov 2004 21:10 - 19582 of 23498

Soc

Armagnac is the one! ;-))

Used to spend an awful lot of time in Pau 20 years ago, the home of Foie Gras, Magret de Canard, Jurancon wine and Armagnac. Life don't get any better. They had monstrous bottles of the stuff 40 years old in some of the bars.

I'm salivering just thinking about it.

;-)

chocolat - 26 Nov 2004 21:42 - 19583 of 23498

Did you say you liked vanilla fudge, BigA?

jeffmack - 26 Nov 2004 21:51 - 19584 of 23498

choccie, dont go there

chocolat - 26 Nov 2004 21:54 - 19585 of 23498

jeffmack - 26 Nov 2004 21:56 - 19586 of 23498
