THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

David Cameron’s spin doctor was yesterday accused of threatening a newspaper planning to expose details of a Cabinet minister’s expenses.

Craig Oliver, the Prime Minister’s director of communications, contacted the Daily Telegraph when he learned it was preparing to reveal that Culture Secretary Maria Miller’s parents lived in her taxpayer-funded second home.

Mr Oliver telephoned the newspaper’s editor last Friday and allegedly suggested that any such story would be ill-timed when the issue of press regulation was being discussed.

Stan he has, but it needs converting from japanese. Mind you I do enjoy reading and deciphering T's posts. Some of his opinions are shared by a good many people, but his crafting of the subject lets him down a bit.

T-------- I disagree that Cameron has ruined the UK, that can be laid firmly at the Labour party door. I believe that Cameron has been too soft and too slow. The hard decisions needed to be taken early on in the coalition, but probably weren't to appease the Lib Dems.
There is no denying we were lied to and still are. There are many Tory party voters, like yourself, who have been hughly disappointed with their performance, but lets not forget they do not have free rein.
