THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

The chief executive of Samaritans, Catherine Johnstone, says: "Suicide is complex.

"Although a catalyst may appear to be obvious, suicide is never the result of a single factor or event and is likely to have several inter-related causes.

"Sometimes people get to a point where they feel they can't cope, where it all gets too much to handle.

"It's worse if people feel they are alone and they can't talk to anyone about what's weighing on them."
so why did she think she could not turn to her family for help?
the notes could say it was not the hoax call and take away the sadness from those two. that is the reason why they must be printed .
once again why could she not turn to her beloved family most strange in my world

TANKER - 13 Dec 2012 12:13 - 19617 of 81564

last on this issue if the notes take the blame away from the two hoaxs
they should be told .
by note giving out the details of the notes
it says not all is what it appears

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2012 12:49 - 19618 of 81564

D.

If it appears that the nurse kill herself, or committed suicide then the notes may corroborate other evidence given to the coroner and jury,if the latter is used in order to come to his or their verdicts.

Personally, I don't think the notes "evidence" should necessarily open to public voyeuristic view, but can see the problems of not doing so, in the present conspiracy mania in the public. The coroner has the authority not to do so.

Also, the "delight" of some in finding somebody to lambaste for the consequence of a adolescent style hoax doesn't say much for the public in general.

If the nurse did commit suicide the responsibility for the action was her own, and base on her own personal constructs.

It is sad, but the media's frenetic reporting of the case leaves a sour taste for many.

Hubble achieves deepest view yet

Hubble astronomers have observed deeper into space than ever before.

In doing so, they have identified six new galaxies of stars that formed just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang itself.

The study also updates a distance estimate for a seventh galaxy, placing it further back in time than any object previously identified.

Called UDFj-39546284, this is seen when the cosmos was less than 3% of its current age.

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2012 19:04 - 19621 of 81564

Skinny,

Do you think they will see where I left my car keys?

TANKER - 13 Dec 2012 19:41 - 19622 of 81564

More likely she was unbalanced anyway

Wow we agree on something. Can't believe anyone would take their own life for the sake of putting a phone call through.

Why was her husband and kids living in Bristol and she was in London ?

TANKER - 14 Dec 2012 08:17 - 19626 of 81564

the nurse VAZ said the family were very close and a loverly family
well that can not be correct. if it is correct why did she not turn to them for help.
my grand children would come and see me if they had a problem that they could not sort . until we see the reason for her death killing her self we must take it that she was unbalanced and no one noticed so no one cared enough.

Fred1new - 14 Dec 2012 09:10 - 19627 of 81564

Tinker.

You have a very simplistic view of life and even more simplistic interpretation of it!

======

Unfortunately, because of the materialistic world we live in, some are prepared to work at distances from their family.

They may be "closer" and "love" each other more than some sharing the same bed.

TANKER - 14 Dec 2012 09:15 - 19628 of 81564

bollocks load of crap .
the world was once asbig as a football now like a pea if you understand the logic

Obviously Tanker the lady had problems, depression is in a lot of cases hard to detect. The poor woman had a responsible job and may be she felt she may not continue to hold her position if depression had been diagnosed. People with depression sometimes do not tell anybody how they are feeling and try to sort it out in their own heads - many women committed suicide when I was a child - probably due to the change of life, which nobody recognised then!!! No matter what, it isn't going to bring her back and the poor children are now left without a Mum, they have to live without her for the rest of their lives. An extremely sad situation. My heart goes out to them and what the poor lady must have been thinking (or not thinking) when she took her own life away.

TANKER - 14 Dec 2012 09:23 - 19630 of 81564

3 I agree with your post what i have posted is till we no the facts we no nothing of why she did it ,but two young foolish people are being blamed who may have had nothing to do with it .
she must of had bigger problems and until the notes are public we will not know .
yet the press have found them quilty .
in my view the police have been stopped by some one from giving the facts
which is not good the lady is dead and left notes to say why yet no one knows why yet the two in aussie are being driven to do the same .
that would be terrible

TANKER - 14 Dec 2012 09:24 - 19631 of 81564

if my grand son was killed by a car .
should i take my car and kill is child ,
witch hunt is what this sucide as done with out facts

The nurse found dead following a hoax call to the hospital treating the Duchess of Cambridge criticised senior colleagues over her treatment in one of three suicide notes, it has emerged.

An inquest heard that Jacintha Saldanha, 46, left three emotional suicide notes following the prank call by Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian.

But it has emerged today that in one of the notes she has criticised colleagues at the King Edward VII hospital over her treatment following the controversial call.

SP IT LOOKS LIKE HER COLLEAGUES ARE THE REASON FOR HER DEATH
were they taking the .... out of her

Fred1new - 14 Dec 2012 09:48 - 19634 of 81564

Tanker,

No.

Her own actions, based on her own view of her own "life" and actions, the "comprehension" her own life and the "choices" she had in the moments before committing suicide.

I agree, if her "positioning" had been recognised by others, they may have been able to intervene and enable her to modify her evaluation and take a different course.

But, that is easily said, but in some cases difficult to do.

There will probably regrets all round.
