This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.
Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........
MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture
We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.
Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.
This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)
The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.
Please DYOR
cheers GF.

Hi swseun ,yes it is quiet on this thread at the moment and i have got to say i`m a little bit disappointed with the share price at the moment.I really did think it would be ticking up to the 1.60 by now given that we should be close to news about trials being released.

Well thats good news. Might be better DB if news comes out when nobodys expecting it on a good day on the market. Could really shoot up onto the leader board. Finding markets in general very dull at the moment.
cheers GF.

GF, there are more leaks in this company than a rusty bucket, by the time the news arrives the price will have already shot up.

SAFC announces ruthenium cancer therapy agreement - 29th November 2005
Sigma-Aldrich Fine Chemicals (SAFC) has announced that its pharmaceutical branch has been appointed to deliver current good manufacturing practices (cGMF) of its lead ruthenium cancer therapy compounds.
Speaking at the CPhI Expo in Madrid, SAFC revealed that the wholly-owned cancer therapy subsidiary of the Medical Marketing International (MMI) Group, OncoSense, has chosen SAFC for the manufacturing and distribution of the ruthenium cancer therapy.
Mark Burton, technical manager of MMI, explained to in-Pharma Technologist: "Under the terms of the agreement, OncoSense will retain ownership of all existing and any new intellectual property that arises out of the manufacturing process."
The deal will provide a major platform for the ruthenium cancer therapy and the manufacturing of the new product will begin in the US.
Manufacturing the new therapy in the US is part of an effort to increase awareness in the country, which is considered to have potentially the largest market for the product.
Ruthenium is becoming an increasingly important element in the treatment of illnesses such as cancer, as highlighted by a recent ?0 million investment in the MMI to develop its research and manufacturing programmes, including those involving ruthenium.

yup db66, I am a bit disappointed as well, hopfully it will be up soon and all the MMI buyers would have a "profitable" X'mas. btw, the trading of MMI is a bit weak as well, isn't it? even buyer back after the news out, the market price hasn't been pushed up a lot compare to its fall. any comment?

Results were no surprise but were accompanied by the very upbeat statement below from David Best.
Summary and outlook
The first half of the financial year has shown significant and positive
developments across our portfolio of potential blockbuster therapies for major
areas of unmet need in cancer and infection. These developments, together with a
strong balance sheet and a stronger team mean that MMI is ideally placed as it
enters the commercial stages of its development. Just one commercial agreement
with a major pharmaceutical company for one of MMI's products could transform
the business and its value.

Same as 2004, raised money, sp up and down at around the placement price whilst we wait for news. Progress made in 2005, nice profits for me having bought at sub 70p several times and sold at 185p and 271p. Back in at 122p and waiting for 2006 which should be even better for MMG and its shareholders.
