Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Hi Haystack,
I would not be too sure about UKIP turning into another also ran.
I am a member of a Conservative club (only reason being its cheap parking) and the main talking point is UKIP, with many members calling Cameron an, all talk, little action PM, and that UKIP is the only alternative vote.
Many people think that UKIP is a one policy party, but I would urge everyone who thinks that, to look at their manifesto, they may be very surprised.
I am not so gullible as to believe anything politicians say, but if UKIP were ever in a position to carry their policies forward and kept just 25% of their promises, I would be happy, as I believe in well over 90% of their aims.
There main aim of course is to get us out of the EU shambles, and as there is no other party wishing to do the same, they will be getting my vote and many others who agree.

Tau Ceti's planets nearest around single, Sun-like star
The nearest single Sun-like star to the Earth hosts five planets - one of which is in the "habitable zone" where liquid water can exist, astronomers say.
Tau Ceti's planetary quintet - reported in an online paper that will appear in Astronomy and Astrophysics - was found in existing planet-hunting data.
The study's refined methods of sifting through data should help find even more far-flung worlds.
The star now joins Alpha Centauri as a nearby star known to host planets.

UK economy grew 0.9% in third quarter, says the ONS
Shoppers on Oxford Street British shoppers brave the rain but retail sales have been flat
The UK economy grew 0.9% in the third quarter, says Office for National Statistics (ONS), less than the 1% it had previously estimated.
Output from manufacturing and services sectors grew less than expected, the ONS said.
But the decline in output from the construction industry was slightly less than previously thought.
The UK's official statistics authority regularly revises its data as more information is collected.
Joe Grice, chief economist at the ONS, told the BBC that the change to the growth figure was "not significant".
He pointed out that despite this strong showing, the economy is still about 3% below the level it reached before the recession.
The UK's services sector, which accounts for the majority of gross domestic product (GDP), or the value of all goods and services produced in the UK, grew by just 0.1% in October, indicating a weak start to the fourth quarter.
Figures also showed that the government borrowed £17.5bn in November, £1.2bn higher than a year earlier. Economists had predicted borrowing would fall slightly to around £16bn.
The bigger-than-expected increase piles more pressure on Chancellor George Osborne as he struggles to reduce public borrowing in the face of a sluggish economy.
This takes total borrowing so far this financial year to £92.7bn, £8.3bn more than the same period in 2011.
