Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Thanks, Andy.

Rest assured, we're on the case.

Derek (IST and MoneyAM)

Sorry - this may have already been mentioned but......

1) when a thread has been read by a user, can it be turned a different colour? Like that other site? Would be easier to keep track of the threads read often when scanning down the list.

2) Maybe its just me, but there is only one page of threads - there seems to be no other way to get the next pages - if indeed there are any.

3) Can we have a special part of the site where Bullshare posts all his insider knowledge? ;)

I added to this thread http://www.moneyam.com/BulletinBoard/ShowPostList?forumID=1&threadID=6 and appears to have posted it under Bullie's comment

Request:
Please have option to remember logon id and password.

I know it is a minor issue - but saves a couple of seconds every day.

Thanks, Mike

Hi tried my best to read all the post...but just too many

It might be usefull if there separate threads for each main area of the site to which we could post our problems otherwise a lot of repetition...just a thought

OR perhaps we could all show the topic you are talking about in bold..to highlight it for others...I will try that one to see if it catches on !

PASSWORD when I changed my password...I never got a confirmation message to say it had been done

GRAPHS I have been displaying some graphs but would like to see some volume info. which I had found useful in the past
An hourly graph over 1,2,3,4,5 and 10 day time zone would be useful

STOCKLIST....mine appears to be wider than the page would allow..perhaps you are meant to select only some options

LOGOUT..I did not see a confirmation that I was in fact logged out

I use WINDOWS XP and IE 6

ChaosT - 17 Dec 2002 08:55 - 202 of 7315

With Marathonmike on that one!

Are the prices on futures going to be real time and for what exchanges.
It will be good to compare actual futures to those the SB companies are quoting.

Tried to access the page but I get this ......

You do not have permission to link to this page.

If you have received this message in error, please contact webmaster@futuresource.com

Not sure if already mentioned but when you open a thread it would be nice for the epic link to the quote page to appear with the thread title.

Legilly - 17 Dec 2002 11:38 - 205 of 7315

I'm with ChaosT in that I would like the threads I've read to be a different colour.

Also how about changing the colour of the 'beta test' threads to red so it makes it easier for people to find them.

lesk - 17 Dec 2002 12:29 - 206 of 7315

When you roll your cursor over the threads the title underlines if there are posts...nice!! but, do you think you could make the whole threadline turn to a grey background or something so you can see across the whole line.. :@)

lesk - 17 Dec 2002 13:49 - 207 of 7315

help... just gone blinder... suddenly everything has gone down a couple of sizes on the font... :@)

lesk - 17 Dec 2002 13:50 - 208 of 7315

that's funny - just gone back to normal... off to the opticians.... hope specsavers are doing special deals for myopia... :@)

Dontknowitall - 17 Dec 2002 14:05 - 209 of 7315

I'd control your right hand a little more, if I were you.

lesk - 17 Dec 2002 14:08 - 210 of 7315

;@D I'm left-handed, does that make a difference..... :@))))

Dontknowitall - 17 Dec 2002 14:10 - 211 of 7315

What? You drink with your left hand?

How common.

LOL

:)

qwento - 17 Dec 2002 16:49 - 212 of 7315

I find the loading of the main bulletin board screen extremely slow - maybe an option to limit the number of threads displayed might not go amiss.

Hotei - 17 Dec 2002 17:48 - 213 of 7315

Trade screen missing some trades. For example, take a look at SPS today on here and on advfn. You've only missed one, but it is 95% of today's volume

Billy3 - 17 Dec 2002 17:53 - 214 of 7315

How about a facility to see who is on-line ?
Now that would be interesting.

And/or, in addition to how many messages are on a thread, one saying how many people have viewed it. They had that on the MW board and it is interesting to see how many have actually viewed a thread compared to how many post on it.

nextwave - 17 Dec 2002 21:02 - 215 of 7315

Like what I've see so far, will there be a data download section? if so would be handy to include for S&P and Dow.

Juzzle - 18 Dec 2002 01:47 - 216 of 7315

Like qwento, I too find the main bulletin board page extremely slow to load, whether via the BB button in the header, or via back-to-list button from a thread, or via the browser back button. (No shortage of available memory on my PC, and no overcrowded cache)
