I don't even have a gramophone, what would I want 78's for? LOL

As an aside, If you get an e-mail from Ebay asking you to confirm your Login and password, don't. It's not from Ebay but an attempt at fraud. Forward the e-mail to:

spam@ebay.com

They are actively working to catch the perpetrators.

Is the bar open?

I think thats why they have no real value, no ones got the equiptment to play them. I thought you could help me with A side/B side as I havent a clue on most of them.

Socrates - 27 Aug 2003 21:13 - 1972 of 23498

Jeff
Do you mean there's music on both sides!

You know me, if I can help I will. A quick search of the internet will find most of them.

Excellent write-up. Sorry you didn't get to pose my question but there is always next year, possibly! I shall just have to keep buying DYS and not worry about selecting other stocks. Divi must be secure too.

vasey - 29 Aug 2003 19:23 - 1983 of 23498

socs, hope it was ok to post all that on your thread in the investors room too.... But I did mention you to Nick and he would be happy to answer you question. He has seen it ......and I know he would tell you the answer.

No prob with the divi. Absolutely certain on that!

You are welcome to post on my thread any time. Oh dear, that sounds almost naughty, but you know what I mean. It's a great post, informative and interesting. Thanks.

As for the question, it as just that there is a tendancy for companies with a portfolio of good products and patents to become targets for larger combines who wish to capture the technology. Whether by mutual agreement or hostile takeover they get snapped up.

Who nicked my Belgian Bun?

jeffmack - 01 Sep 2003 20:12 - 1988 of 23498

Socs, did you get into PDX before todays announcement

Socrates - 01 Sep 2003 20:41 - 1989 of 23498

Jeff
No I didn't. I've been trying to balance my portfolio and had not completed my sales, the assets from which I was going to use to buy in. Never mind, plenty more where that one came from. Nice stock though, and nowhere near finished yet I fancy. Big question now is, when do you jump off the roller-coaster. I've several other stocks I want to buy when the time is right.

I found I was too heavy in volatile risky stocks, WGG? So I've been trying to lay a foundation of steady, good yielding solid stocks. DYS I already have, looking at PRV which is a similar company. Still got some old dogs to dump but really need to have some recovery on them else they are just not worth selling. MPH is coming on as is NMS so all is not lost.

Sad I missed out on the custard pump but never mind, eh! WGG may come back sometime this year and make my fortune for me, or I may win the lottery.
