Holy hotmailaccount - I sure do, Batman!

I could have sworn there were 12 yesterday..

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:35 - 19743 of 23498

And this doesnt bode well does it...gotta put the decs up early so got the lights out, went through all the bulbs and yes it was nearly the last one that was out, went to put them round the window and decided to wash the nets, then whilst cleaning the 5' window i thought it needed painting, but sanding first so i had to go to B&Q. 4 hours later neither the nets nor lights are up and i forgot the crumble in the oven which is now burnt! And this is all in the entrance hall, ive got the rest of the house to do yet! that smiles gone....

chocolat - 28 Nov 2004 22:36 - 19744 of 23498

Why don't you just go out for lunch amberj? :)

jeffmack - 28 Nov 2004 22:37 - 19745 of 23498

Amber
You should have your own show on UK Living

jj50 - 28 Nov 2004 22:39 - 19746 of 23498

Thanks for message amber :-)

No prob., shall head down and have a trial run cooking for the Official Christmas!! I used to do Thanksgiving, as well as Christmas so shall just pretend it is a week late! Only problem is Delia Smith's Christmas book with all timings was submerged in water and I can't open it - I thought it quite symbolic really!!!! Just keep my glass topped up and it will go like clockwork :-)

chocolat - 28 Nov 2004 22:39 - 19747 of 23498

Jeffie - I have a little early Xmas pressie lined up for you...just in case you're gazumped. ;)

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:42 - 19748 of 23498

lol Jeffers, I've just started in the lounge now and taken all bits off the chandelier to clean...house is looking suitably wrecked now with step ladder in middle of carpet!

jj50 - 28 Nov 2004 22:42 - 19749 of 23498

What on earth are you and jeffie up to choccie? ........ and have I just been AWOL or what happened to poochy's "Thoughter"........

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:46 - 19750 of 23498

Jen, ta doesnt sound like you need a book though! We'll work on experience but do I need to buy any food? Al's advised me on booze and the fridge is a bit full!

chocolat - 28 Nov 2004 22:47 - 19751 of 23498

AWOL, jj

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:49 - 19752 of 23498

Choccy, nice thought to go out, but i wanted to do all the decorations for the kids with tree etc as they wont have one, just didnt want to feed them all!

Spaceman - 28 Nov 2004 22:50 - 19753 of 23498

Evening all, just back from a Malaysian meal with friends. Nice lazy day today preparing for the scaffolding tomorrow.

Amberjane, here are a couple of ideas, they always seem to work for me :-

1) Beans on toast, buy beans, heat in pan, while beans are heating put on toast, when both toast and beans are ready serve hot.

2) Phone local Indian Takeaway order selection, collect, serve, eat.

I cant see what all the fuss is about cooking.

PS Chocolat, saga is for old people like Big Al, not young 28 year olds like me ;-)

jj50 - 28 Nov 2004 22:51 - 19754 of 23498

Could be an idea to get some food in amber!! How about one of those dead bird's that you stuff ........ at least you can feed a lot of people that way!! Al has a Rayburn, so you could ask him to cook it (you can put in night before) and then send it to you via chopper. What ya doing for plates, cutlery ... mon dieu :-) I am off to pour a drink thinking about it.

jj50 - 28 Nov 2004 22:53 - 19755 of 23498

Crackers .........lots of crackers, will keep kids busy......

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:54 - 19756 of 23498

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:55 - 19758 of 23498

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:56 - 19759 of 23498

Choccy what DO you mean! How could you

jj50 - 28 Nov 2004 22:56 - 19760 of 23498

Lunch dates count as a workout so that's good :-))

Choccie, I know .....

Don't worry about the dusting, that many people, they will never notice ...

amberjane - 28 Nov 2004 22:57 - 19761 of 23498

Oh you two...You could add cream? That would be nicer :>0
