Hush Alan! ..... it was only a gentle tease by me ..... In truth, a huge amount of money and everything else could be save if packaging was just plain sensible ..... ever unpacked a PC or similar ..... aaaarrrrgggghhhh!

hewittalan6 - 09 Sep 2006 11:35 - 19745 of 27111

May I suggest frogpack!!!

bristlelad - 10 Sep 2006 20:47 - 19746 of 27111

ALAN RIGHT ON TARGET////

cynic - 10 Sep 2006 21:03 - 19747 of 27111

as i have no idea at all what frogpack is, i am afraid the comment/taunt or whatever completely passed me by

Tonyrelaxes - 10 Sep 2006 21:12 - 19748 of 27111

cynic

You profess to be knowledgeable about SEO by your regular posts of your views of SEO and it's problems. as some might perceive them. Yet you have no idea of what Frogpack is.

Clearly your views and depth of knowledge do not even extend to looking at SEO's web site's Home Page to see what it's products might be.

Good job I don't look to you for my research into my investments!

cynic - 10 Sep 2006 22:09 - 19749 of 27111

i have no knoiwledge at all about SEO .... i only follow this thread because i cannot believe the huge number of posts and seeming following when the stock does nothing but head south.

if there was more headroom above ZERO i would have shorted this stock ..... buying it? .... heaven forbid; i know better ways of losing it like buying mature Ch d'Yquem, but at least that has a sweet taste on its way down.

Oilywag - 10 Sep 2006 22:42 - 19750 of 27111

less cynic ....... and more pillick!

The oily one

Tonyrelaxes - 10 Sep 2006 23:27 - 19751 of 27111

Oily - LOL

You do (or at least I do) usually get an instinctive idea about a posters credentials well before they reveal their real worth as a poster on this information BB.

I wont go into names or current suspects - not necessary, we all sence them!

cynic - 11 Sep 2006 08:32 - 19752 of 27111

no probs .... keep mocking all you like while the rust and moth and SEO keep depleting your funds ..... if SEO actually manage to pull themselves out of the fire before the receivers move in, then i am delighted for you and will take no offense at being pilloried or worse ..... as it stands, the market looks to have got it correct, as most times it does, and keeps marking the shares down.

Tonyrelaxes - 11 Sep 2006 08:40 - 19753 of 27111

cynic

If, as you say "the market LOOKS to have got it correct" that means you are telling us all your assessment of the facts and position but you admit to having absolutely no knowledge of facts about what you are passing judgement on - SEO.

Sorry, but communicating with you about the company is therefore a waste of time. Goodbye. EOC.

cynic - 11 Sep 2006 08:44 - 19754 of 27111

suit yourself ..... you money to lose .... the trend is DOWN DOWN DOWN and you don't need to be a rocket scientist let alone know anything about the company itself ..... the market, which knows plenty about the company, is rarely wrong in these things

TheMaster - 11 Sep 2006 08:44 - 19755 of 27111

Well put Tony, Sainsburys green issue mentioned in the Mail on Saturday. Can anyone post relevant articals in the other press, as I was painting all day Sunday (dawn till dusk)

hewittalan6 - 11 Sep 2006 08:45 - 19756 of 27111

Point of order, your honour.
If the market usually gets it right, can someone please explain to me, in words I can understand, why the winners and losers list every day is topped by movements in excess of 50%?
If the markets had got it right, there would be no suprises and no big daily swings, just gentle movement of prices that were predictable and in one direction only.
Just the observations of an uninformed investor here I'm afraid.
Alan

hewittalan6 - 11 Sep 2006 08:49 - 19757 of 27111

Second point of order, your honour.
If the markets usually get it right then they must have got it right as SEO climbed to 30p, and be wrong now. Or got it wrong on the climb and got it right now. Or have decided to take bulls for a ride then but not bears now. Or decided to take bears for a ride now, but not bulls.
I submit, your honour, that the market gets it right about 50% of the time.
So does a coin toss. Don't know where tossing comes itno it though.
Alan

Oilywag - 11 Sep 2006 09:06 - 19758 of 27111

Another point of order, your honour.

Could the previous poster please leave words like "sotting" of this board. It makes it hard for dyslexic people like me to understand what he is talking about.

The oily one

cynic - 11 Sep 2006 09:27 - 19759 of 27111

carry on rationalising guys ..... i dare say the end of the year or Q1 2007 will bring the denouement one way or another ..... i am more than happy to stand up and take flak if i am wrong, but are you?

hewittalan6 - 11 Sep 2006 09:32 - 19760 of 27111

Most certainly. But it is very hard to be wrong when almost every post one makes has the caveat on it that people should DYOR and that what I know makes me more more confident but................
It is also tough to be wrong when one posts that they may be wrong, and they would not encourage anyone to buy as it is too risky yet, etc.etc.
Thats the difference. Humility.
Alan

cynic - 11 Sep 2006 10:40 - 19761 of 27111

no probs Alan .... as often said, i am too old and ugly to take offense

Mad Pad - 11 Sep 2006 10:53 - 19762 of 27111

RNS reported in both todays and Saturdays FT by Fiona Harvey. No opinion just the facts.Alongside Saturdays was the report of Sainsburys going green etc and by 2007 its ready meals being in biodegradeable packaging but no link to Stanelco in that respect ,or to anyone else for that matter.

tweenie - 11 Sep 2006 11:50 - 19763 of 27111
