LOL I totally agree Hils but if Amber wants to do the traditional
stuff....however I should think in this day and age you could probably
walk into M&S and get half of this lot already prepared and everything!!

hilary - 29 Nov 2004 15:39 - 19800 of 23498

Bunny Girl,

For the past umpteen years, I've had steak and prawns on the bbq on Crimbo day. This year will be a bit of a culture shock for me. I can't say that I'm exactly looking forward to it.

stockbunny - 29 Nov 2004 15:51 - 19801 of 23498

I can understand that Hils, either you tend to get stuck with
doing Xmas lunch or life is different and you don't...I think this
will be my 23rd year of cooking Christmas dinner (lol) it looses
it's terror after about 10 years ;>)

Spaceman - 29 Nov 2004 15:54 - 19802 of 23498

I still think and Indian Takeaway is easier and nicer ;-) and whats wrong with beans on toast? are all your visitors posh?

stockbunny - 29 Nov 2004 15:59 - 19803 of 23498

If you mean mine No LOL..but don't know about Amber's.
Anyway, traditional isn't 'posh' really is it?

This_is_me - 29 Nov 2004 16:09 - 19804 of 23498

I find christmas dinner no problem - I just take the turkey out of the oven and carve it.

Priscilla - 29 Nov 2004 16:12 - 19805 of 23498

Talking of food......Chocolate Fudge Cake, complete with lots of icing and decoration, is now available.....with a fresh pot of tea and a plate of cucumber sandwiches.

jj50 - 29 Nov 2004 16:16 - 19806 of 23498

Well done Bunny - I am up there on the 20+ years of doing too .... and still don't sleep the night before!!! Pavlova is a good option instead of Xmas pud?
Prawns/smoked salmon easy starters. Have you noticed amber has not responded, probably sitting in cupboard crying or swinging from chandelier (recently dusted) paralytic..... or then again, more likely, out for lunch :-)

Good bit of writing GD (from a Piscean) although I thought it was the men who were guilty of pursuing women with money :-))

TIM - glad you are drying out.

How about a cup of tea?

jj50 - 29 Nov 2004 16:17 - 19807 of 23498

Priscilla. Yum :-))

stockbunny - 29 Nov 2004 16:27 - 19808 of 23498

Priscilla and JJ - both quite right, there's heaps of options really
just depends on what people want to cook and equally what's expected
quite often as well....visions of dragon mother-in-laws...ARRGHHH!! LOL
LOL JJ - wonder what we are doing wrong that we keep getting all the
cooking to do each year? ;>)
GD - quite agree, it was a good piece, email in the post :>)

stockbunny - 29 Nov 2004 16:31 - 19809 of 23498

Ok happy bunnies I'm outta here - have a good evening and keep
everything well covered tonight cos it's going to be cold!!
Look out the gloves, hats, scarves and boots for tomorrow.
:>)

jj50 - 29 Nov 2004 16:34 - 19810 of 23498
