Remember to bring jacket and tie for the evening. If wearing tailored shorts, white socks must be worn.

Also no headbutting, gouging or biting and may the best man (me!) win.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I will be at the clubhouse by about 0815, so suggest everyone else gets there not long after so we can have a chat over a cup of coffee. Eric, will find out today if any food will be available on arrival.

I was assuming you might bring the Bullboy along with you - or is it that he'd be just a source of total embarrassment. Don't worry, I'm sure we could put the Tesco carrier bag over his head - that would do the trick.

We could probably give him a MoneyAM handicap - say 28 - provided he wore his special chifon number - from the Women at Aldi range. I know for a fact that he buys his thongs from there.

Bullshare - 26 May 2005 12:12 - 199 of 440

Mg; Don't tempt me!! last Sunday my 13 year old (he plays off 17) challenged me, 5 to the winner, sad to say by the 9th hole I had lost 5 balls and was already 18 up. As luck would have it I managed to feign a serious injury and headed off to the bar. As in all good sporting events, as we never finished the game I argued that it was a draw so did not owe him a penny, sad to say he said next time I would need doctors certificate to wriggle out of paying up.

I reckon this time next year Rodney I will be less embarrasing, I hope, so will take part in the 2006 event as the buggy driver/embarrassing old fart at the back of the field playing in a team of one!

The latest lits of entrants, unfortunately I have received a couple of emails from some possibilities who have confirmed that they are unable to attend. Hwoever Paul Jacobs plus a few MAM clients will be participating, so we will have a sufficient numbers to ensure a great day out.

Still not too late for any others who may be interested. perhaps the recent 'imports' from MAM's competitor may wish to join us?

PTH,

It might help to sway a few posters (who are contemplating an entry right now) if PJ/MAM were to give a hint or two as to some of the prizes to be won? Also worth mentioning that there will be "a few quid" remaining in the pot for some dosh/golfing vouchers up for grabs in the sweep, as well!! :o)

ptholden - 26 May 2005 22:34 - 202 of 440

Mark

I think you just mentioned it!

Don't know how much dosh will be left over until I have the final numbers, but I should be able to work it out. Now, what did I do with those cheques, and your cash?

Must have bought some RPT shares!!!!!!!

EWRobson - 26 May 2005 22:49 - 203 of 440

Well done, pth; you're playing a stright bat, I was just going to say, but then I thought about the poor old Bangladeshi's and that it wasn't golf! Els really doesn't qualify because he is already +3. Happy for anyone to win the second prize! Even marcus, despite his illicit practise round and that now full-time professional, peter holden. Aren't you leading the PGA or is that peter lawrie? Maybe a pseudonym.

Bully

Thanks very much, cracking prizes and hopefully will stimulate a bit more interest. although we have enough entrants to make a great day of it already. But the more the merrier, so come on and join the fun, particularly those lurkers.

Eric, won't be around today, have to go to Wentworth!!

Not good enough - I'm pulling out now!!

markusantonius - 27 May 2005 10:02 - 207 of 440

Just jokin!

Nice prizes, but if you want real appreciation, just pick up the booze bill :) :)

mg - 28 May 2005 15:44 - 209 of 440

Bob
I'll second that :)

Even better, if we can persuade the tight git to ignore his shyness and come along to play you and I can keep him company around the rough ;)

C'mon Bullie - it'd be a blast - you know it's only for fun. Join in and to hell with the score. In fact, if you offer a wooden spoon you and I can compete for it!!!

Bullshare - 28 May 2005 19:16 - 210 of 440

MG; I would love to play but it clashes with some training courses we are running. Besides, I have seen your bit of rough before and thats what got you put away the last time:-)

Ok, fair enough. Next year it is - hopefully we'll all still be around !!

Great prizes, Bullshare. Is that the Open jug? Pity that we higher handicappers lost out in the handicap negotiations - 3/4 the difference! Wonder if Cabrera is playing - hits his 7-iron the length of my drives! Oh well, t'will be a great day, particularly if it coincides with an RNS on Stanelco's Wal-Mart deal!

Two guests for dinner only in the evening are Barrie and Peggy Kinley. I will forward a cheque whenever you advise.

My handicap has just gone out to 18. With 3 more qualifiers to go before 27th, I will be trying to get back to 17.

Bit of a nightmare for me today.

Got ready for work as usual, went to get into my car....!! all of the windows are down and my car has been cleaned out.

My beloved golf clubs (callaways) that my wife bought me for xmas, my king cobra driver GONE!! :( and my brand new taylor made recovery club :( and not forgetting my odyssey putter.

Im a bit gutted and am not sure if i'll be able to replace my clubs in time for the MAM Open, Im pretty sure i'll still make it, but will obviously be no threat on the day.
