Excellent write-up. Sorry you didn't get to pose my question but there is always next year, possibly! I shall just have to keep buying DYS and not worry about selecting other stocks. Divi must be secure too.

You are welcome to post on my thread any time. Oh dear, that sounds almost naughty, but you know what I mean. It's a great post, informative and interesting. Thanks.
As for the question, it as just that there is a tendancy for companies with a portfolio of good products and patents to become targets for larger combines who wish to capture the technology. Whether by mutual agreement or hostile takeover they get snapped up.

No I didn't. I've been trying to balance my portfolio and had not completed my sales, the assets from which I was going to use to buy in. Never mind, plenty more where that one came from. Nice stock though, and nowhere near finished yet I fancy. Big question now is, when do you jump off the roller-coaster. I've several other stocks I want to buy when the time is right.
I found I was too heavy in volatile risky stocks, WGG? So I've been trying to lay a foundation of steady, good yielding solid stocks. DYS I already have, looking at PRV which is a similar company. Still got some old dogs to dump but really need to have some recovery on them else they are just not worth selling. MPH is coming on as is NMS so all is not lost.
Sad I missed out on the custard pump but never mind, eh! WGG may come back sometime this year and make my fortune for me, or I may win the lottery.

Hello Old Socs. Never mind balancing your portfolio ........ how about you pump some custard onto the Belgian Bun that I've just found.

Now don't take this wrong but, have you seen the Calendar with all the nude TV personalities. Celia Imry is holding two Belgian Buns in front of her.......
Basically an iced bun with cherry on top, sliced open with cream and a citrous, usually lemon, jammy sort of stuff inside. Available from Tesco fresh cream cakes counter.
Hilary
I wouldn't eat that one, it's over two years old. The cream was not originally green. How are you, your absence has been noted. I have been trying to gather some punts together as well as re-balance my portfolio, not easy is it?
Did either of you get into PDX like Jeff? I should have bought at the outset because it was always going to be a winner. I've seen so many tech shares hyped up but you have to look at the idea and say "is this just a novelty or will industry really take it up"?
I have another brewing but it is not yet mature and frankly it's not likely to be a UK stock. What is it you ask, aircraft diesel engines. Sounds incongruous doesn't it. But I know of an aircraft operator who has calculated that he could save 100,000 per year on fuel on one twin-engined aircraft. We are talking small piston engined planes here and there are tens of thousands of them. Not yet clear who will be the lead supplier, may be US, more likely German. Gestation period is likely to be around 18 months to 2 years, all depends on getting what's called type certification from aviation authorities.
I'll keep you posted.

There seems to be more and more names missing recently. Have they all lost all their money or the prices here getting too steep?

I think they are all cream crackered by making so much money. Probably all sitting counting it and sipping bubbly. Anyway, you've been away a while TIM, what have you been a doing of.

Good evening.
Oh what fun I had last night, I had about 100 emails all containing a virus.
It took my Norton some time to go thru it all.
I am now calm and up to date.
Can anyone tell me if I open an e mail from my Hotmail or other accounts, not using Outlook express.
Will it be scanned by the Norton in the same way?

Can't answer that, but if I receive an e-mail I don't expect or don't recognise it goes straight into the recycle bin and gets deleted straight away. Never had a problem with anyone not getting answered.

"screensaver" "Detail" "Thank you" "movie"
On the 30th they were coming every 4 mins at one point.
